A Lesson For Your Next Life
Angstrom Levy, a scientist who has the power to travel between dimensions, breaks the Mauler Twins out of the detention facility where they are being held. He wants their help. He has grabbed alternate versions of himself from other dimensions. He wants to know everything that his alternate selves know.
Invincible is still recovering from the fight with his father, from the end of the previous seasons. He wants to work for Cecil but Cecil tells him to cool his heels. He isn't ready to trust Mark just yet. Cecil eventually changes his mind. The New Global Guardians aren't as effective as he would like them to be. He brings in the Immortal to train them.
Invincible is sent to stop the Mauler twins. Cecil doesn't know that it's them but the energy readings coming from their new lab are off the charts. The Maulers have built a device that should help Levy to learn everything that his alternate selves know. He has altruistic motives but Invincible's interference changes things.
Levy bore no ill will towards Invincible, until now.
Deborah Grayson, Atom Eve, and Amber are also in this episode.
I can see this show getting very confusing, with similar characters from different dimensions.
There are some really chilling moments early in this episode. They involve what I thought must be a dream but turned out to be an alternate dimension where Mark decides to collaborate with his father and help him to conquer Earth.
This is setting things up. I'm not sure I am going to stick with this show. It's okay but I'm not sure it does it for me. I will probably watch the rest of the first half of this season before deciding if I want to continue watching.
