107 minutes
Git Hynes (Peter McDonald) winds up in debt up to his eyeballs to Tom French, a local mob boss, 24 hours after he gets out of prison. French offers to forgive the debt if Git will do a job for him. Git is sent to find Frank Grogan who owes French some money. Bunny Kelly (Brendan Gleeson), a more experienced man, is sent with Git. Things do not go according to plan for various reasons.
Although I didn't recognize them I've seen both the leads in a couple other films but nothing I've seen recently. Neither of them was the was lead in any of the four films in which I have seen them.
I enjoyed this film. It's not great but it has a good mix of crime story, road trip, and humor. I'm really glad I watched with the subtitles on because with the accents it was sometime hard to figure out what was being said. Even with the subtitles it was sometimes hard to follow the dialogue.
