Someone Who Lives in the Exact Opposite World as Me
Wakana Gojo is a high school student who lives with his grandfather, who makes handmade dolls for a living. Wakana aspires to be like his grandfather. He doesn't have any friends in school until one day his secret is discovered by Marin Kitagawa, one of the girls in his class. She aspires to be a cosplayer but is seriously lacking when it comes to making clothes. When she finds out that Wakana can make clothes and is much better at it than she. She begs him to help her out.
Wakana seems very down to earth and repressed. Marin is just the opposite. The first time they met she crashed into his desk, head first. She shook it off and tried talking to him but he was too shy to say much of anything. The next time they talked was when she discovered his sewing abilities.
The show is based on a manga series of the same name. The manga series ran for about 7 years, 115 chapters. The collected edition filled 15 volumes.
I gave this a try. It was recommended on Netflix. It just hit Netflix a few days ago. I'm in the process of looking for something else to watch on Netflix. It wasn't bad but these characters aren't the sorts that I want to watch for hours on end. I seriously doubt that I am going to watch anymore of this show. There are just 12 episodes on Netflix at the moment but my research indicates that there is another 12-episode season out there.
