Whisper of the Witch

Mori and Kodai return to the Yamato after a scouting mission. The ship seems to be deserted. They start hallucinating. They try to stay together but they are separated. The source of the hallucinations is Mirenel, an agent of the Gamillas. She uses her powers to get Mori to reveal how the Yamato's Wave Motion Engine functions.

Kodai imagines he is back on Earth. He remembers the day that his parents were killed. It was just by chance that he wasn't nearby when a planet bomb destroyed them. Mori imagines that she is in a hospital bed and she sees someone who looks a lot like her. Kodai awakes from the delusions propagated by Mirenel just in time to save Mori.

Standing Sam

Sam is off to his first day at Denton University. Elsa made an appointment for him at the special needs office but Sam skips that and instead hangs with a couple of other students that he just met. He decides to move into a dorm. He gets nervous at the last minute about his decision to live in a dorm.

We Can Be Heroes

Chapman starts to experience some trouble in the ranks of the inmates she has hired to provide her with used underwear. Flaca is the one who starts the trouble after she finds a pamphlet about unionizing that one of the COs threw away.

Fleabag 1.06

Episode 6

Fleabag takes the guy to her godmother's Sexhibition. She thinks he's in love with her. It turns out he's in love with someone else. Her godmother treats her really poorly. Fleabag drinks way too much and makes a scene. She also gets into an argument with Claire who is back together with Martin. He now claims that she's the one who tried to kiss him.

Your Mum's Got a Strongbox

A couple of guys steal the car with Ray still in the trunk. They take it to a chop shop. The owner tells them to come back later. He needs to look it over before he decides how much he's going to give them. They take the strong box they found in the car with them.

Nurse Jackie 1.06

Tiny Bubbles

Jackie gets a visit from Paula, a former co-worker. She is dying from lung cancer and is ready to go. She wants Jackie's help.

Maureen Cooper, Dr. Cooper's birth mother, is brought in with pain in her side. She wants him to operate on her but he can't. Dr. O'Hara ends up taking care of her.

Thoughts

A decent episode. It got me a bit misty eyed at the end but it wasn't brilliant. This episode is more focused than most of the previous ones. I wasn't crazy about the use of musical montage.

A Tittin' and a Hairin'

Doggett gets the backstory spotlight for the second time. The flashbacks are paired with her present where she is getting a little deeper into a relationship with Coates, the doughnut man. He tells her that he likes her and thinks he went a little too far on their last "date". Her flashbacks reveal her first love who was very nice to her. She really liked him until he left town. Her life went back to being what it was before she met him after that.

The Empire Strikes Back (1980)

The rebel alliance (including Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Han Solo, Chewbacca, C-3PO, R2-D2) is holed up on the ice planet of Hoth when the forces of the Empire (led by Darth Vader) catch up to them. Luke almost dies investigating a meteorite. He is knocked out by an ice monster that kills his Tauntaun steed. Luke escapes from the ice monster but is in bad shape without a steed to help him get back to base. Han, who didn't intend to stick around, goes out looking for Luke and finds him just in time.

The Empire launches a ground assault on the base the next morning. The rebels are forced to evacuate. Leia and C-3PO wind up leaving with Han and Chewbacca in the Millennium Falcon when the route to the princess' ship is cut off by the fighting. Luke takes part in the battle but once the evacuation order is given he heads back to base and leaves with R2 in their X-wing fighter.

Atypical 3.01

Best Laid Plans

Sam is getting ready for college but he's got a couple things distracting him. One of the people in his support group mentions that 4 our of 5 people on the spectrum don't graduate college in 4 years. That worries him. Zahid helps to get Sam back on track. He convinces him that all he needs to do is plan and he can conquer college.

Fleabag 1.05

Episode 5

Fleabag and Claire have lunch with their father. Their godmother is there, even though she isn't supposed to be. It is the anniversary of their mother's death. It is a very awkward and uncomfortable event. Fleabag invited one of the guys she slept with before to have lunch with them. Her godmother can't take her eyes off of him.

Hard Worker

Ray and Gary are planning a heist. They ask Nick to help them out. He's up for it but he's secretly a cop. Ray catches him making a phone call. They take him out to the boonies. It looks like they might kill him but Ray decides to let him go. Nick claims that he doesn't have anything on them.

Where My Dreidel At

Suzanne doesn't know how to handle her new status. She has a number of other inmates counting on her to churn out more chapters. They are even willing to do her favors. Kukudio, a recent addition to the show, starts to get through to Suzanne when she starts saying that she imagines herself as Sunflower, one of the characters in the story. Sunflower sounds like the name that Suzanne used for Chapman in Season 1.

To All the Boys I've Loved Before (2018)

Lara Jean has secret letters, five of them. She wrote them to boys on whom she once had crushes. She never mailed them. She doesn't have a boyfriend. All that changes when her Kitty, her younger sister, finds the letters and mails them.

Josh, one of the guys, used to be her best friend but things got weird when he started dating Margot, Lara Jean's older sister. Peter, one of the guys, was her first kiss, when they were in 7th grade during a game of spin the bottle. Peter now dates Gen, who used to be Lara Jean's best friend. Lucas, the third of the guys, is gay but Lara Jean didn't realize that until he tells her when he returns the letter to her.

Nurse Jackie 1.05

Daffodil

Jackie is still worried about Grace, her eldest daughter. She doesn't know how to help her. That seems to bother Jackie.

Stephanie, a ten-year-old, comes in with her mother who has lupus. Her mother is in bad shape. Jackie does what she can to help Stephanie's mother. This includes sneaking her back into the ICU to see her mother. Jackie also gets her an extra supply of medicine for her mother.

Zoey continues to follow Jackie around and learn from her. She goes to dinner with Dr. O'Hara when Jackie declines. She makes some pointed remarks about Dr. O'Hara's attitude and then tells her that her father is in prison. After dinner she clotheslines a patient who is out of control.

NewsRadio 3.24

Space

WNYX is loacted on a spaceship in this alternate take on NewsRadio. Some things remain the same, others do not. Joe is brought out of cryogenic sleep to help fix the station's nuclear reactor core. Mr. James thinks he needs to put either Bill or Catherine in deep sleep for about 50 years in order to fix the short fall in the budget. Lisa and Dave still don't live together. Irene, Matthew's girlfriend, is a robot.

Thoughts

This is a fun one but not great. It is a string of gags. There isn't much in the way of plot. It made me smile but it didn't make me laugh.

Fear, and Other Smells

Red doesn't like the new meal program and she isn't alone. Everyone hates the new meals. DeMarco has found a way to deal with the favorless gruel, flavor packets from Ramen meals. Cindy and some of her friends have another way to avoid the new meals. They ask for the kosher meals.

Fleabag 1.04

Episode 4

Fleabag and Claire go to a silent retreat for women. It was a gift from their father. They don't try very hard to maintain silence. Sometimes they are arguing, other times they are laughing.

Fleabag wanders off and finds a non-silent retreat for men. It seems to be for men who can't dea with women civilly. She recognizes one of the men. It is the man from the bank who turned her down for a business loan in 1.01.

Ray gets a present from Gary, an automatic pistol.

Ray goes for a sit down with Davros, the bloke who's guys he beat up after they put Gary in the hospital. It doesn't go very well. Freddy is there and tries to get Ray to accept Davros' explanation but he doesn't really.
