Searching for Brown Sugar Man

Sam gets help searching for Zahid so that he can prevent him from marrying Gretchen and missing his nursing mid-term. Abby is the first to offer to help out. Once they figure out where the wedding is going to take place they turn to Casey for help getting there. She doesn't have wheels but when she hears what they are trying to do she insists on joining them. Paige winds up being their ride to the casino where the wedding is going to take place.

Sam Takes a Walk

Sam has to draw something that shows how he feels about a political issue, for his art class midterm. He decides to draw a picture that shows the effect of global warming on penguins. He has the house to himself because Elsa, Doug, and Casey go out of town for a track meet.

Road Rage Paige

Casey's happiness over kissing Izzy doesn't last too long. She's happy but then she realizes that she needs to break up with Evan. She gets grounded by Doug for trying to sneak out in the middle of the night to see Evan.

Shrinkage

Sam is given an assignment in his philosophy which has a direct bearing on his relationship with Zahid. Sam fails to see the complexity of the situation. There is a FitBit missing from TechTropolis. Sam knows this because he is the one who performed the inventory.

The Essence of a Penguin

Sam does a great job with drawing a picture of a penguin but the next assignment for art class throws him for a loop. He is supposed to draw the essence of his animal. He doesn't understand the assignment. He doesn't understand what he is being asked to do.

Only Tweed

Evan stays over, accidentally. He and Casey oversleep in her room. Casey makes a scene so that Evan can sneak out. Before he leaves Casey let's him know that Doug is ready for him to come for a ride-a-long.

Y.G.A.G.G.

Paige encourages Sam to make some friends. He's resistant. He already has Zahid. Paige tells him a story about her roommate who freaked out at a party and is now made fun of by everybody. She doesn't want Sam to wind up like her roommate.

Cocaine Pills and Pony Meat

Sam has more trouble adjusting to life at Denton University. Doug suggests he try scheduling things. It works at first but then he gets off track and everything seems to fall apart. He's about ready to quit when Doug suggests he drop a class. Instead of dropping a class, or maybe in addition to doing so, Sam goes to see  counselor and asks for some help.

Standing Sam

Sam is off to his first day at Denton University. Elsa made an appointment for him at the special needs office but Sam skips that and instead hangs with a couple of other students that he just met. He decides to move into a dorm. He gets nervous at the last minute about his decision to live in a dorm.

Atypical 3.01

Best Laid Plans

Sam is getting ready for college but he's got a couple things distracting him. One of the people in his support group mentions that 4 our of 5 people on the spectrum don't graduate college in 4 years. That worries him. Zahid helps to get Sam back on track. He convinces him that all he needs to do is plan and he can conquer college.
