Remember
Adora wakes up in the Fright Zone but something is different. She's a force captain and a hero of the Horde. Catra is her buddy. Adora doesn't remember how she got there but she can tell that things aren't right. Catra keeps trying to reassure her but Adora starts to notice that time is passing without her noticing it.
Adora runs into Scorpia who isn't happy to see her. She's the only person who isn't happy to see her. They part ways but Adora decides later on that she needs to find Scorpia. She's the key in Adora's mind to figuring out what's going on. She also starts seeing Mara's name written in various places but no one else can see it.
Adora and Catra fight. Adora still doesn't understand it but Catra has reverted to her maniacal self. Catra insists that she would rather tear it all down rather than see anyone else win. The world is falling apart around them. Catra gets sucked away. Adora runs into Madame Razz who explains to her that she has to fix it.
Adora goes running off to look for Glimmer and Bow. Catra emerges from the shadows looking not quite herself anymore.
Thoughts
This was a very trippy episode. It was pretty clear from the opening scene that something was not right. The question was how long would the curtain remain closed. The longer it went on the more I wondered. It had to lead somewhere.
I think it is pretty clear that the world Adora experiences here is of Catra's making. Catra plays nice until it becomes apparent that Adora isn't willing to play along with her vision of reality.
I liked the team-up of Adora and Scorpia. They clashed but then they started working together. It was a nice change of pace.
I'm glad this isn't the final episode of the season. It would be one hell of a cliffhanger.
