Power Suit
Red is going crazy because her new bunk mate snores and Red can't get any sleep. The ear plugs that were handed out don't help. She winds up taking drastic measures. Red's bunkmate rolls out of bed, in her sleep the next nights, and breaks her nose.
Chapman continues to think she is a boss. Some of the other inmates defer to her. She gets to know Stephanie Hapakuka, her new bunkmate better. Chapman hires Hapakuka to be her bodyguard.
Ruiz gets the backstory spotlight. Her father was a gang leader. She met Yadriel, the father of her child, when she was still living at home. Her father eventually kicked her out.
Cindy gets into it with one of her new cubemates, who is Muslim. The cubemate gets back at her in a non-violent way.
Yoga Jones is assigned to be Judy King's cell mate. She does not like being Judy's roommate and she let's her know. Taystee finds out about Judy King's double with Yoga Jones.
Burset's ex-wife confronts Caputo about her wife being in the SHU. Caputo acts like his hands are tied and he can't do anything about it. He goes to a meeting for the top management of the company that runs Litchfield since the end of the prior season. He tries lobbying for more guards and seems to make some progress. He also flirts with Linda Ferguson, one of the other managers at the meeting.
Doggett starts wondering if Ramos is getting assaulted like she was by CO Coates. She watches her from a distance but can't tell. Doggett tries asking Ramos. That doesn't work out. Ramos thinks she is crazy.
Poussey and Soso flirt a little bit.
Flores notices that there are considerably more Latinas at Litchfield since the prison's population increased dramatically. She starts to get close to some of them. Some of the new white inmates throw Flores down a flight of stairs. Ruiz works with a couple of Flores new friends an gets some payback.
Thoughts
I like this episode better than the previous one. I'm still not sold on the season as a whole but I'm ready to give it a few more episodes now.
