The Vegans use a plan devised by Zuril to attack Tokyo. They arm rats with Vegatron explosives and then send them into Tokyo. The Vegans give the Japanese people an ultimatum: surrender or else Tokyo will be attacked.
The Grendizer team tries to find the Vegan threat. They are unable to prevent the attack on Tokyo Tower. Duke Fleed sees the rats near the tower and alerts the others. The Grendizer team jams the signal that the Vegans are using to drive the rats into the city and use another signal to lead them out of the city where they destroy them.
Maria piloted Marine Spazer early in this episode. Later in the episode Hikaru was in Marine Spazer and Maria was in Drill Spazer. There is no explanation as to why but there was an episode recently where Hikaru flew Double Spazer. I guess they have the pilots cross-training/
Zuril changes his appearance at one point in this episode to make himself look human but he still has an eyepatch and those big weird looking ears. It isn't the best disguise in the world.
This is at best a so-so episode. The whole notion of blowing up rats after injecting them with explosives was a little too much for me. I'm still unclear on how that works. They lure in thousands of rats and then inject them or arm them with explosives and then once the rats get to their destination they blow them up? There's something you probably wouldn't see on a cartoon intended for kids today.
