The Monster of Peladon - Part Three
The Doctor uses hypnosis to calm Aggedor into a peaceful state. Chancellor Ortron releases the Doctor and Sarah Jane from the pit but orders them not to leave the Citadel. The Doctor attempts to violate this order and gets caught doing so. Ortron has him locked up.
Sarah completes the mission that Queen Thalira gave to the Doctor. She contacts Gebek and lets him know that Queen Thalira wants to meet with him. Sarah also tells Gebek about what happened to the Doctor. Gebek offers to break the Doctor out and convinces Sarah to head back to the Citadel.
The miners get their hands on the sonic lance. Eckersley convinces Alpha Centauri to contact the Federation and request troops to calm the situation on Peladon. Gebek frees the Doctor. Together they go to investigate the room where Sarah thought she saw someone. The Doctor manages to open the door without setting off the security system, like Sarah did. An Ice Warrior comes lumbering out of the room as the door swings open.
The Doctor and Sarah were supposed to get Gebek to meet with Queen Thalira but other things got in the way.
It was a little abrupt the way miners went from openly revolting to meeting with Ortron.
The story, like the Ice Warrior, continues to lumber along. I don't think this will ever be a favorite of mine. None of the supporting cast are memorable enough even though Alpha Centauri does make me roll my eyes. The commentary track is decent.
