Bilko's Chinese Restaurant
Bilko decides to open a Chinese restauarant after he learns that the father of one of his men, Hwang Lee, arrived in the United States years ago with just one dollar and now owns 10 restaurants. Bilko orders Ritzik to requisition the supplies they will need to stock the kitchen of the restaurant. The Pentagon hears about the kind of food Ritzik has been requisitioning and decides that Bilko's unit should be moved to a remote Chinese island to replace a unit that is due to rotate back to the United States. Bilko is forced to think fast and cook up a scheme to convince the Pentagon that his unit is a poor choice for the assignment.
There were a few Asian actors in this episode. Hwang Lee and his father, who shows up at the end of the episode, are both played by Asian actors. There are also three Asian actresses who appear in a dream sequence. None of the Asian actors in this episode went on to lengthy or notable acting careers as far as I can tell.
This was okay. It could have been better. Once again they wrapped things up way too quickly. There were a few cringe inducing moments when Bilko pretends to speak Chinese.
