Namaste
The episode opens with Saul in a pawn store. He spends a lot of time looking around. He winds buying three bowling balls.
Saul meets with two clients of his who went on a spree a couple episodes back and expect him to give them fifty percent off. He has to convince them to go along with his plan even though it will mean doing some time.
Howard invites Saul to lunch. He wants to hire Saul but Saul is very reticent to give him an answer one way or the other. Howard asks him to spend some time and think it over.
Kim meets with Kevin and Paige. She tries to talk Kevin into changing locations for the Mesa Verde call center. He won't budge or buy into her reasoning.
Mike goes over to Stacey's place to babysit Kaylee. Stacey has already arranged for a sitter. Stacey suspects that something is up with Mike and asks him to let the sitter handle it for the night. Mike is not happy.
Kim meets with Saul, after the meeting with Mesa Verde, and asks him to go out and talk to the one holdout. Saul talks the man into agreeing to let him represent him in court and in negotiations with Mesa Verde.
Hank and Steve stake out one of the drop sites. They get the money but the guy gets away. Hank is a bit disappointed. Gus makes Lyle, the store manager, stay late to clean the deep fryer after the store has closed. Gus finally lets Lyle leave after he has gotten word that everything went as planned at the drop sites.
Saul goes over to Howard's place and hurls the bowling balls over the surrounding wall. Two of the three bowling balls land on Howard's car.
Mike goes back to the same street where he got into a fight last episode. He gets into another fight but this time several guys go at him and he gets beat up pretty badly.
Thoughts
Nacho and Lalo were not in this episode.
Howard's license plate reads NAMAST3. Is this it for Howard? Does he know who ruined his car?
I've looked ahead and this is the last episode that Hank and Steve are in. I have not checked to see if it is Howard's end.
I liked the whole back and forth between Gus and the stakeout while it was happening but after the fact it felt like a bit of a let down.
Gus is crazy.
I'm still not sure what is up with Mike. Clearly he is still angry with himself over killing Wener but I'm not sure where this is all going.
This was a decent episode. It was somewhere in quality between the second and third episodes but much closer to three than two.
