Interior Chinatown 1.02

Delivery Guy

Willis helps Detective Lee. She takes him to the police precinct but he can't get in the building. He tries several times.

Fatty, Willis' coworker who usually buses tables, is forced to wait on tables. He is very freaked out about it. He does his best and eventually starts to get the hang of it.

Detectives Green and Turner can't see Willis. He discovers this while they are having a conversation on the street outside the precinct.

Willis' mother gets her real estate license but no one seems to care including her nephew who owns the restaurant where Willis works.

Lana figures out who murdered a construction worker with some help from Willis.

Willis finally figures out how to get into the precinct. He gets some food from Golden Dragon and says he is there to deliver some food.

Thoughts

There are some more moments that point to the fact that Willis, Lana, and the rest of the cast are just characters on a TV show within the TV show.

Lana Lee didn't seem quite as confident in this episode as she did in the first one. It seems that she is a guest star or recurring character, just as Willis is a background character.

This show continues to intrigue me. I'm not sure if I love this episode as much as I did the first one, I don't think I laughed as many times, but it was good. I think my expectations might have been boosted a bit too high by the first episode.
