The women of GLOW spend a couple days out in the desert.
Reggie, Sheila, Ruth, and Debbie go for a hike. Ruth and Debbie fall behind and think they are lost. Ruth tells Debbie about Sam's confession. Sheila starts hallucinating and sees a wolf.
Melanie keeps getting on Jenny's nerves. Melanie is incapable of seeing what she is doing that makes her annoying to Jenny. Things come to a head after dark around the campfire. Jenny talks about her family getting one of the last flights out of her country of birth to the United States. Everyone hugs her. I didn't feel like this really resolved things between her and Melanie.
Cherry tells Tammé that she can't wrestle any more because of her back problems. Carmen suggests that she become a manager but then has to explain to her what a wrestling manager is.
Arthie and Yolanda get high with Dawn and Stacey. That leads to some awkward conversations about Arthie's and Yolanda's relationship among the four of them. Yolanda brushes it off but Arthie can't.
Carmen asks Rhonda about whether she is happy with Bash.
Sheila tears off her wig after they get back from the hike and throws it on the fire.
Thoughts
Another wrestle-free episode. The Sam and Bash are also absent from this episode.
I think I like this episode a bit more than the previous ones but I'm still not loving this season as much as the last couple. I'm having trouble seeing the through line. Maybe after I've watched the whole season I will be able to appreciate it a little more.
