Freaky Tuesday
Tammé has a serious problem, which has been hinted at before. Her back is bothering her but she keeps wrestling.
Sandy makes an offer to Bash and Debbie. She wants to keep GLOW at the casino through the end of the year, their run was originally scheduled to end on March 31. Bash is ready to say yes but Debbie is not.
Justine comes to visit and brings a script with her. Sam breaks the news to her that he's the new referee. Bash wants Sam to side with him and help him talk Debbie into agreeing to extend the run of the show another 9 months.
That night the ladies of GLOW decide to switch things up. Debbie is Zoya and Ruth is Liberty Belle. Melrose is Fortune Cookie, Jenny is Britannica, Carmen is Welfare Queen, Tammé is one of the old biddies, and so on and so forth. It starts off kind of simple but gets very chaotic before it is all over. Some of the performances are cringe inducing and intentionally so.
The night ends with Bash announcing that GLOW is extending its stay. Debbie tries to object but Bash overrules her and suggests she can leave if she doesn't want to stay.
Thoughts
Finally some wrestling, although it didn't feel like it was as well choreographed as in the previous couple seasons.
The term Freaky Friday came from a novel by Mary Rogers of the same name. The novel was published in 1972 and the first film version of the story came out in 1976.
I think I liked this one better than the last one. It mixed things up but it is still lacking something.
