Hikaru wants to go out with the horses and Daisuke. He agrees but then sees that the weather is getting ready to turn and tells her they can't go. She gets angry at him for breaking his promise. Danbei insists that Daisuke and Hikaru take the horses out.
General Gandal comes up with a plan to help find Grendizer. The Vegans will establish a base on Earth. Blacki is put in charge of executing the plan. He sends Saucer Beast Giba Giba to Earth to level a couple mountains and clear a space for the new Vegan base.
Daisuke, Hikaru, Kouji, and Goro take the horses out the next day. The weather turns. It starts snowing heavily. The wind is blowing hard. Daisuke decides that they have to turn around and head back to the ranch. The saucer beast arrives and starts terraforming the area according to the plan. Sandy, a foal, gets spooked by the saucer beast's activities and runs off.
Goro goes after Sandy. Kouji goes back to the ranch to get the TFO. Daisuke goes after Goro but once he sees that Kouji needs help he transforms and jumps into Grendizer. A crack opens in the ground. Sandy falls in but Goro gets a hold of him. Kouji lands and comes to help Goro rescue Sandy from the crevasse.
Duke Fleed fights the saucer beast and destroys it. The Vegans retreat. Everyone heads back to the ranch.
Thoughts
Grendizer shows up just at the tail end of the episode to save the day. Kouji and the TFO once again prove to be ineffective against a saucer beast but that doesn't keep him from trying. Danbei falls from the water tower once again.
I'm a little confused as to how Daisuke figured out what the Vegans were up to. I didn't think that there was anything that made it abundantly clear that the Vegans wanted to build a base on Earth, in this episode.
This one wasn't as bad as I feared it would be but it still wasn't a good one in my book.
