Maid of Honor - Part 1

Wonder Woman goes to a party in Paris by herself. She dances with Bruce Wayne but they get interrupted by an attempt to kidnap one of the other guests, Princess Audrey of Kasnia. Wonder Woman foils the attempted kidnapping by herself. She spends the rest of the night partying with Princess Audrey all over Paris.

Batman tries to break up a heist at a scientific lab. He captures one of the thieves but the other two get away with some components for high tech weapons. They deliver the goods to their boss, Colonel Vox. The captured thief turns out to be a soldier from Kasnia.

Batman compares notes with Wonder Woman the next day. He suspects that the Kasnians are up to no good. Wonder Woman doesn't think that's possible. She goes to Princess Audrey's engagement party that night and meets her fiancé, Vandal Savage. He claims not to be the original but his grandson. Wonder Woman has her doubts.

King Gustav, Princess Audrey's father is poisoned that night by one of Vandal Savage's operatives. He has a stroke and is incapacitated, unable to speak.

Kasnian operatives travel to Platform 1, the international space station. They take over by force. Princess Audrey rushes back to Kasnia when she hears about what happened to her father. Vandal Savage and Colonel Vox travel with her. Wonder Woman sees them leave and flies after them. She is unable to catch them after Colonel Vox knocks her out of the sky.

Princess Audrey arrives back in Kasnia and quickly decides that for the good of her country she must get married to Vandal Savage right away.

Thoughts

It is unclear if Wonder Woman knows Batman's secret identity at this point. The way she reacts to Bruce Wayne's presence at the party makes me think no. The way she talks to Batman the next day makes me think that maybe she does.

I was amused by a phrase that Vandal Savage used when he was playing innocent, the peaceful exploitation of space. The words exploitation carries a negative connotation. It was funny to hear Vandal Savage use it the way he did.

I forgot what this one was about. I completely forgot that Vandal Savage was in it. I don't recall of any of the other members of the Justice League show up in Part 2.
