The Pyramid on the Ocean Floor
Captain Harlock and his crew detect something strange in the waters of the Bermuda Triangle. They go underwater to investigate and discover a pyramid on the ocean floor. It has the same symbols on it as the pennant that crashed in Japan. They try to leave but a glowing light on the pyramid makes their ship crash into the pyramid.
Captain Harlock explores the pyramid and finds what looks like a tomb for a Mazone. He is struck by her beauty and decides they should leave. Daiba decides otherwise. He heads back to the pyramid but before he can get there he is attacked by dark tentacles.
Daiba is saved from the tentacles by Kei and the first mate. They take a sample of the tenactles back to the Arcadia and analyze it. The results of the tests indicate that it is related to the Mazone and that there are Mazone all over the world. Captain Harlock tries telling the prime Minister of Earth but he refuses to do anything about it.
Captain Harlock and his crew go on a spree. They hunt down and kill as many Mazone as they can find. Commander Kiruta comes after him. He finally catches up to Captain Harlock when he goes to visit Mayu. Commander Kiruta briefly believes he killed Harlock but quickly learns that Harlock has survived.
Thoughts
This one is a bit of a mish mash. It lacks focus. The pyramid seems significant but then they abandon it to go hunt Mazone. I don't get it. I also don't get why Captain Harlock doesn't take Mayu with them. It seems that she would be safer with them. She seems to be miserable at that boarding school.
