Vikor
A construction worker sees something he wasn't meant to see at Vikor Enterprises in Fort Scott, Florida. A security guard gets to him before he can escape but before he dies the construction worker tells one of his coworkers about the glowing man he saw.
David Vincent gets wind of the story and travels to Fort Scott to investigate. He tells the guard at the front gate to Vikor Enterprises that his name is Daniel Baxter and that he looking for work. He gets hired to chauffeur Sherry Vikor around. Her husband no longer trusts her because she drinks too much.
Vincent drives Sherry Vikor to Vikor Enterprises. He takes a look around while she is off visiting her husband. He breaks into the building that has the most security around it. He is quickly spotted and captured by the security guards.
Vincent manages to talk his way out of trouble with some help from Sherry Vikor. She asks him, once he has driven her home, what he's doing there. He explains that her husband is working with aliens. She thinks he's joking but she also helps him out.
Vincent breaks back into the secure building where he was caught before. He finds equipment that looks like equipment seen in earlier episodes. He overhears a conversation between Mr. Vikor and Mr. Nexus, one of the aliens who has assumed human form. Vincent has to take off in a hurry when one of the aliens sounds the alarm.
A local police officer catches up to Vincent but he escapes after he sees the telltale sign that the police officer is an alien. David calls Sherry. She wants to help. He tells her where to meet him not knowing that she is under surveillance. The police and Mr. Vikor catch up to Vincent just after Sherry finds Vincent. Sherry and David try talking some sense into her husband after they get a moment alone with him.
George has the police officer keep an eye on Vincent while he goes home with Sherry. He's ready to sacrifice Vincent but then Mr. Nexus explains that his wife also knows too much and needs to die. Vincent fights back and kills the aliens guarding him using a pistol that Sherry gave him. He finds her barely alive. He frames George Vikor. The aliens kill Vikor and move on.
Thoughts
David Vincent getting hired as a chauffeur seems like one of the flimsier premises I've seen on this show. The hiring happened off screen and very quickly.
There's something about this one that I like although not entirely. There are a few too many transitions that don't make sense.
George Vikor is played by Jack Lord who is probably best known for playing the lead on Hawaii Five-O, Detective Steve McGarrett. He also played Felix Leiter in Dr. No, the first James Bond movie. He made guest appearances on lots of television shows from the late 1940s to the late 1960s when Hawaii Five-O began. He didn't die until 1998 but he has no screen credits after the end of Hawaii Five-O in 1980.
Mr. Nexus is played by Alfred Ryder. He appeared in three episodes of the Invaders playing a different character in each episode. Both of the other appearances were in episodes from the second season of the show. He also made guest appearances on lots of other television programs including Buck Rogers in the 25th Century, Star Trek: The Original Series, The Wild Wild West, and the Alfred Hitchcock Hour. He was also in the original movie version of True Grit. His appearance on Buck Rogers was one of his last credits although he lived for another 25 years.
Sherri Vikor is played by Diana Hyland. She was a regular on Peyton Place in the 4th and 5th seasons of that show. She also made appearances on The Twilight Zone, The Alfred Hitchcock Hour, The Green Hornet, and The Fugitive. She appeared in two more episode of The Invaders. She played a different character in those episodes which were the first and second parts of a two-part story from the second season. Her last role was on Eight Is Enough. She died of breast cancer after filming just a few episodes of that show.
The police officer is played by Richard O'Brien. He appeared in a total of three episodes of the Invaders, playing a different character each time. He also made appearances on The Incredible Hulk, Wonder Woman, The Wild Wild West, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., and The Fugitive.
