Turn Table Turn
Cindy has to continue to play along now that the picture of Judy King kissing her has gone public and sold to a magazine. She isn't crazy about it. The way Cindy sees it Judy King is getting more out of it than she is.
Piscatella is angry about the picture. He puts Luschek in charge of a sweep of the prison. Luschek performs the sweep which turns up a box full of cell phones but not the one that has the picture on it.
Flores finds a way to avoid the pat downs: she stops showering. The smell is so disgusting that the COs stop patting her down. She tells her friends and they start doing the same.
Morello gets another visit from her sister. Vinnie still hasn't visited Morello. She starts to suspect that he is having an affair with her sister.
Red starts to feel like she is to blame for the fact that Nicky is using again.
Flores gets the backstory spotlight. She used to be a home healthcare worker. She worked for an mean old elderly lady. She got tired of the lady's attitude so she started acting up.
Chapman and Vause want a cheeseburger. They try to talk one of the COs into sneaking a couple in for them. He agrees but only if he can get the handjob that Chapman promised him last season and never delivered on.
CO Humphrey starts acting weird around Ramos. He knows that she's up to something. She does what she can to ruin the panty smuggling setup. It doesn't stop him.
Sister Jane is trying to get sent to the SHU. She is hoping to be able to find evidence of what has happened to Burset. She gets some help from Mendoza in getting herself sent there.
CO Stratman gets on Flores case because she won't shower. He makes her stand on a table in the mess hall. He tells her that she can't get off the table until she agrees to shower. The episode ends with her still standing on the table, with a defiant expression on her face.
Thoughts
Healy, Whitehill, Linda, and Burset are not in this episode.
This one skipped around a lot as have a lot of episodes in this season. There was a backstory spotlight, which was nice to see.
I thought that Humphrey was going to rape Ramos. He might still but what he did instead is really disgusting.
It occurs to me now that maybe I should be calling Morello by her married name, Muccio.
This was a decent episode. I'm curious to see where things go eventually. It doesn't feel like there's any one story that is dominating the season, just a lot of little ones.
