Rich Wigga, Poor Wigga

This episode is in black and white. The main character, Aaron, has a black father and a white mother. He is a senior at Stonewall Jackson High School. He wants to go to Atlanta State University. He passes for white. All his friends are White. Kate, his girlfriend, who got into ASU, is White.

Robert Shay Lee, donates a bunch of money to the Stonewall Jackson. He renames the school after himself and announces he will bankroll the college education of all seniors, who are Black. Aaron's friends are angry. He tries to get a scholarship from Robert S. Lee but Lee and his friends aren't buying his act and he gets turned down.

Kate breaks up with Aaron. He gets angry, builds a flamethrower, and decides to burn down the high school but he runs into someone else, who has the same idea. They get into a fight. Things don't work out in Aaron's favor. The story flashes forward one year. Aaron has changed he has a job, he is no longer trying to pass as White.

Thoughts

The actor who played Robert Shay Lee died just a few days after this episode aired for the first time.

The first half of this episode felt a little predictable. The second, half, after Aaron built the flamethrower, was different. I enjoyed this episode. It didn't make me think as much as some of the previous ones. It was good but it wasn't great. It made some interesting points.
