Atlanta 3.10

Tarrare

Candice is in Paris with Shanice and Xosha, two of her friends. She paid for their trip over. Candice pees on men for money, good money. They are having lunch in a café when Candice spots Van. She goes up to her. Van doesn't seem to recognize Candice at first and she is talking with a French accent.

Van takes them home with her. They aren't there very long before Van realizes she has places to go. She takes Candice and her friends along with her. Candice has a baguette sticking out of her little backpack. They ride around on scooters. They stop places and Van does things. They almost get attacked by a gang of men. Van beats up a man in a museum. He was supposed to deliver something, possibly drugs. She beats him with the baguette which is very stale and very hard.

Atlanta 3.09

Rich Wigga, Poor Wigga

This episode is in black and white. The main character, Aaron, has a black father and a white mother. He is a senior at Stonewall Jackson High School. He wants to go to Atlanta State University. He passes for white. All his friends are White. Kate, his girlfriend, who got into ASU, is White.

Robert Shay Lee, donates a bunch of money to the Stonewall Jackson. He renames the school after himself and announces he will bankroll the college education of all seniors, who are Black. Aaron's friends are angry. He tries to get a scholarship from Robert S. Lee but Lee and his friends aren't buying his act and he gets turned down.

Kate breaks up with Aaron. He gets angry, builds a flamethrower, and decides to burn down the high school but he runs into someone else, who has the same idea. They get into a fight. Things don't work out in Aaron's favor. The story flashes forward one year. Aaron has changed he has a job, he is no longer trying to pass as White.

Atlanta 3.08

New Jazz

Darius takes Al to a special cafe in Amsterdam. They get coffee and cakes which are supposed to get them hgh. They walk around after having the coffee and cake don't feel anything. Al gets separated from Darius. Three teenage boys recognizes Paper Boi. They chase him. He ducks into a building which turns out to be a museum.

Al meets a woman, Lorraine, in the museum. She isn't very nice to him. She hangs around even when he makes it clear that he doesn't want her company. She takes him to a club. He meets Liam Neeson in the club. They leave the club and she does something to him that causes him to collapse.

Atlanta 3.07

Trini 2 De Bone

Miles and Bronwyn, a White couple, take Sebastian, their young son, to the funeral for Sylvia, his nanny. Bronwyn was reluctant to tell Sebastian that Sylvia was dead. Sebastian wants to be at the funeral and gets into the spirit of the event a little more than his parents do.

The funeral does not go off without some confrontations. One of Sylvia's daughters has some unaired grievances. Two men start wrestling. Miles and Bronwyn leave before it is all over. It's a little too much for them.

Atlanta 3.06

White Fashion

Alfred joins a diversity board for a fashion company. He quickly learns that the other members of board are in it for their own purposes. They know who is buttering their bread. Alfred tries to make a suggestion and his idea ends up being the basis for a new fashion campaign instead of an attempt to make things better for Black people.

Darius inadvertently inspires a White entrepreneur to change her husband's food truck. They start selling food that sounds Nigerian but isn't. They push a Nigerian restaurant out of business. Darius doesn't see it coming until it is too late.

Earn runs into Van in a hotel lobby. He wants to know where she's been. They get interrupted by a White woman who accuses Van of stealing. The management of the hotel chase the woman off. The management apologizes and offers Earn and Van a free night's stay at the hotel. They spend the night together but in the morning Van is gone.

Atlanta 3.05

Cancer Attack

Alfred's phone disappears while he in on stage in Budapest. He can't figure out what happened to it. Earn thinks that the Make-a-Wish Foundation kid, that Paper Boi met with before the show, might have taken it. He catches up to the kid but the kid doesn't have the it.

Earn, Alfred, Darius, and Socks turn their attention next to Wiley, the nephew of the man who runs the venue. They get him to come back to the venue. They go round and round with him, but he says he doesn't have it. He plays Paper Boi a song.

They give up and head out, without the phone. Earn gets a text from Van confirming that she's okay.

Atlanta 3.04

The Big Payback

The rules in the United States seem to have changed. Black people are finding White people whose ancestors enslaved their ancestors and demand restitution. The main character in this episode is Marshall Johnson, a White man, who is pursued by Shaniqua Johnson, a Black woman with such a claim. Marshall panics. He doesn't know what to do. She shows up at his apartment, at his place of work, and insists that she is going to get what he owes her.

Earn, Alfred, Darius, and Van are not in this episode.

Atlanta 3.03

The Old Man and the Tree

Earn, Al, Darius, and Van go to a party in London. The host is a billionaire but the party is hidden in a building that looks really run down on the outside. There is a Nando's in the apartment. Earn sees Van pocketing a small sculpture. 

Alfred plays poker with Fernando and a couple of his friends. It cost 20K to buy into the game. Everything goes great. They are having a good time but then Alfred wins and Fernando ghosts him, doesn't pay him.

Earn gets approached about an investment opportunity. There's a Black artist in residence at Fernando's. One of Fernando's friends wants Earn to go in with him on an artist incubator. Earn has his doubts but he later comes around.

Darius meets am Asian woman who says something about race but not in an insulting way. Darius doesn't think anything of it. A White guy overhears the exchange and blows it way out of proportion. He starts telling everyone about it. Darius tries to defuse the situation but no one will accept what he has to say. The situation gets worse and worse.

Atlanta 3.02

Sinterklaas Is Coming to Town

Earn has to bail Paper Boi out of jail. Van lost her luggage on the flight to Europe. She and Earn are no longer together. Darius helps Van find a new jacket. She finds a slip of paper with an address on it in the jacket.

It is Christmas time. There are people dressed in black face. It is a tradition in Amsterdam.

Van and Darius wind up at a wake for a man who hasn't died yet. Darius thinks it might be Tupac.

Alfred refuses to go on stage when he sees that everyone in the audience is dressed in blackface. He leaves Earn to deal with the manager of the venue. The manager is pissed. He threatens Earn and then chases after him. The manager beats up some random guy in black face. Earn makes it back to his hotel.

Atlanta 3.01

Three Slaps

Two men are on a boat, fishing in a reservoir, at night. One is Black and one is White. They talk about the reservoir. The White man tells the Black man a story about the reservoir. It creeps the Black man out and then it gets creepier.

Loquareeous is a young boy about 10 years old. He acts up in school. His mother and grandfather are called in. His mother is tired of his act and gives him a hard time. His grandfather slaps him, three times. One of his teachers sees all this and calls child protective services.

An agent from CPS shows up at Loquareeous' mother's house. His mother has had enough. She throws him out and tells CPS to take him. He is placed with a white couple, Amber and Gail. He is just one of four kids, all Black that the two women have taken in. They make them work. They don't send them to school. Loquareeous tries acting up but it doesn't get him anywhere.

CPS shows up at the house. It isn't the same agent whom Amber and Gail are used to dealing with. Gail has a private chat with the agent. The agent disappears. Amber and Gail decide to go on a trip and take the kids with them.

The episode ends with Earn waking up. He has a puzzled look on his face.
