Curse of the Kobra - Part One
Bruce sends Terry to Kairi Tanaga for some martial arts lessons after some of Kobra's goons manhandled him while they were robbing Nova Research Center. Terry bonds with Zander, one of Kairi's other students. Together they fight back against the Jokerz Gang while they are out for a slice of pizza at Cheezy Dan's.
Terry also investigates Doctor Padu Banjahri after he sees the paleontologist attacked by two of Kobra's goons. Banjahri works at the Gotham Natural History Museum. Terry sneaks into the paleontologist's office and discovers that he was working on a project involving dinosaur DNA.
Zander abducts Max. They met earlier in the episode just before the Jokerz Gang showed up. She showed him how to play a video game called Sentries of the Last Cosmos. Terry tries to chase them down but one of Kobra's henchmen beats him up pretty badly.
Zander is (of course) Kobra. He looks the part, in or out of costume. He also looks a little like the Sub-Mariner.
This is a decent start to this two-part story, considerably better than part one of The Call. It does depend on a fair number of coincidences but at least it doesn't feel so rushed that my head was spinning before it was over.
