Lover Come Hack to Me
Starting Amanda Plummer, Stephen Shellen
directed by Tom Holland
Peggy (Amanda Plummer) and Charles (Stephen Shellen) get married. He’s marrying her because she’s filthy rich. Her reasons for getting married are a bit more unclear but presumably she loves him. They wind up at a strange abandoned mansion on their wedding night, by accident. It is a dark and rainy night. They consummate their love in the master bedroom.
Charles falls asleep and has a strange dream about her parents. He wakes up and discovers that there was some truth to the dream, just before Peggy kills him with a large axe.
This was a bit of a snooze fest for me. I kept waiting for the episode to go somewhere and I guess that in the end it did but it all felt so paint by numbers. The characters were cardboard. There was nothing here that spoke to me or grabbed me.
