The Spy Who Came in from the Cold
Charles leads Julie and Didi to the thief, Gladys. She is now in memory care. He talks Gladys into handing over the missing necklace. They find several other stolen items among her possessions.
Charles leaves Pacific View. He goes home and with a lot of help from Emily he cleans out the storage space in house of all sorts of old stuff, including most of his wife's things. Didi goes from being angry with Charles to defending him when she has to deal with the questions and anger she gets from the residents.
Charles and Julie step in when they learn that Didi has quit her job. They talk her into staying.
Calbert is very hurt when he learns that Charles wasn't honest with him and the others. Eventually he and others come around. The episode ends with first with Virginia and Elliott's wedding and then with Julie calling Charles and asking him to work another case for her.
Thoughts
Emily's husband and her sons are not in this episode.
This episode was overflowing with story and character moments. It was a very satisfying ending to the first season. I plan to watch the second season but not right away.
