Edge of Panic
starring Louisa Horton, Patrick McVey, Haila Stoddard
directed by Robert Stevens
Alice Martin (Louisa Horton), convinced that her husband Harry (Patrick McVey) has been framed for murder, steps up to prove him innocent. The evidence seems to be pretty convincing until Alice does some sleuthing of her own and discovers that Jean Mulligan (Haila Stoddard), the woman with whom Harry was boozing it up on the night of the murder, isn't the victim but the murderer.
This episode aired in 1950. I'm pretty sure that this episode originally aired live and that what I watched was a kinescope of it.
This was fun but not great. The lead seemed to be having a little too much fun with the role for me to take the situation seriously.
