The Strongest Shinigami! Ultimate Confrontation Between Teacher and Students
Renji and Rukia argue while he is getting them to safety. Ichigo and Byakuya fight. Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto (captain of First Division) takes on Shunsui Kyōraku (captain of Eighth Division) and Jūshirō Ukitake (captain of 13th Division). They take off running, Nanao Ise (lieutenant of 8th Division) goes with them.
Suì-Fēng (captain of Second Division) is about to discipline a junior Shinigami when Yoruichi Shihōin shows up and knocks them both of them off of a cliff after which Yoruichi and Sui-Feng get ready to fight.
Nanao Ise attempts to sacrifice herself but Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto knocks her out of any attempt to interfere in his fight with her captain and 13th Division's captain.
Thoughts
Once again most of Ichigo's friends (Sado, Orihime, Ganju, Uryu) do not appear in this episode.
There was no sign of Gin Ichimaru (captain of Third Division) in this episode. I've got a feeling that when he does materialize and join the party it will change how things are playing out and whom is battling whom.
Not much in the way of major developments here. This episode was mostly fighting and the beginning of fights. It gets very confusing keeping track of who belongs to which division but I do love the looks of most of the characters.
