The Paradox of Intermediate Transactions

Roy meets up with Gator at the gas station near Beulah. He gets the story from Gator and then tells him what to do with the body and what to do after that. Roy returns home to Karen, his wife, and eight-year-old twin daughters. He has a visitor waiting for him, a man by the name of Odin who is looking for more ammunition.

Dot goes out in the neighborhood at night and changes a bunch of the street signs. Dot and Wayne go to gun world the next day. They pick out a couple assault rifles and a pistol. Dot wants to take them home with them but there's a seven day waiting period so they can't get them for a week.

RAF Group Captain Lionel Mandrake (Peter Sellers), Ripper's executive officer, shows the general evidence that the Russians aren't attacking but Ripper won't listen, has the base locked down, and cuts off all communication with the outside world and the bombers. The general has a new justification for the attack, the protection of the "vital fluids" of the the American public.

Spy x Family 1.03

Prepare for the Interview

Yor moves in with Loid and Anya. Loid tries to get Anya and Yor ready for the interview at Eden College. He asks them simple questions but neither of them seem to have a clue as to how to answer the questions in a way that satisfies him.

Loid takes Anya and Yor to the opera, a museum, and to a restaurant. Loid and Yor end up chasing down a man whom they see mug an old woman. They recover her wallet for her.

Loid isn't very confident at the end of the day that they will be able to impress the interviewers at Eden College.

Neon Genesis Evangelion 1.25

The Ending World

Shinji, Asuka, Rei, Misato, and other characters' lives are examined but primarily it is just the four that I just named. All four suffer distress when they look back at their lives up to this point. They try to help one another see that life isn't as simple as they want it to be. The focus shifts from one character to another.

Once again I am at a loss. I don't fully understand what this is all about. It seems that the Angels are gone but I'm not certain about that. I'm not sure that everything will be resolved in the final episode. I'm pretty sure there will be quite a bit left on the table unfinished.

I feel as though I've been handed a basket full of yarn of various colors that is all tangled together. I'm supposed to untangle it all but I don't see what's to be gained by doing that.

Doctor Who (1963) 12.03.01

The Sontaran Experiment - Part 1

The Doctor, Sarah, and Ian arrive on Earth by transmat beam. It is deserted of human life, or so they believe. Sarah and Harry go for a look around while the Doctor works on the transmat beam which needs some adjustments.

Harry falls down into a hole. Sarah goes to get the Doctor but when she gets back to where they left the Doctor he is gone. She finds his sonic screwdriver and takes it with her and heads back to where she left Harry.

The Doctor is taken captive by three men in space suits who blame him for killing one of their friends. The Doctor found their friend, dead, at the bottom of a cliff. He tries to make light of the situation but they don't care for his sense of humor.

Bleach 1.12

A Gentle Right Arm

Ishida Uryū releases something that lures lots of Hollows to Karakura Town. He is supremely confident that he can kill them all but he challenges Ichigo to try and kill more of them than him. Ichigo thinks Uryū's actions are reckless but he has no choice but to take up the challenge now that there are Hollows on their way to town.

The Hollows target those with a greater amount of spiritual energy, like Ichigo's sisters. He goes to find them so he can protect them. It doesn't occur to him that there are other people he knows (Chad, Orihime, Tatsuki) who also will be prime targets for Hollows.

Rukia visits Urahara's store. She keeps getting Hollow alerts on her phone that disappear fairly quickly, leaving her very confused.

Inuyasha 1.18

Naraku and Sesshomaru Joins Forces

Inuyasha's brother Sesshomaru crosses paths with Naraku, the demon who cursed Miroku. Sesshomaru is still missing an arm. Naraku gives him an arm that is powered by a shard of the Shikon Jewel. He also gives him a tool to help him deal with Miroku.

Sesshomaru and Jaken find Inuyasha, Kagome, Shippo, and Miroku. Inuyasha oulls out Tetsusaiga, his sword, and attacks his brother. Sesshomaru overpowers Inuyasha and takes Tetsusaiga from him. Inuyasha uses Tetsusaiga's sheath to defend himself.

Miroku tries to help by using his cursed hand. Jaken uses the hive that Naraku gave them. The insects that come out of it aren't affected by the wind tunnel created by Miroku's cursed hand. They stop his hand from functioning.

Jaken takes on Miroku and Shippo. They fall back. It doesn't look good but then Kagome joins the fight. She hits Tetsusaiga with an arrow which causes the magical sword to revert to its normal form. She threatens that the next arrow will take out Sesshomaru himself.

Deadloch 1.01

The naked body of Trent Latham, coach of a local rugby club, is found on Deadloch Beach in Tasmania. Senior Sergeant Dulcie Collins is forced to take the case until Detective Eddie Redcliffe arrives from Darwin to investigate. Collins wants to hand over the case but when she sees the sort of job Redcliffe is doing she talks to her boss and gets her temporary assignment to the case made permanent.

It takes some work but by the end of the episode Eddie finally seems to understand that the case isn't as simple as she wants to believe it is, The pieces finally fall into place for Eddie when she and Dulcie find the body of Gavin Latham, Trent's brother and the one she wanted to arrest for Trent's murder, dead on the beach and without a tongue, just like Trent.

Sleep Talkin' Guy

A prostitute named Toby comes into the office and tells David about Jerry, one of her regular clients, who said something in his sleep about someone named Farley getting murdered later that night. She doesn't want to hire David. She just thought she should tell someone.

There's no job so David doesn't do anything about it. The the front page story the next day is about someone named Farley who was murdered. David finds Toby and pays her to listen to what her regular client who talks in his sleep has to say and report back to him. She says okay.

Tom Baker watches clips from all 41 stories from the seven seasons (Seasons 12-18) in which he played the Doctor. He comments on each story after he watches a clip from it.

This documentary is included in the Blu-Ray set for Season 12 (on the same disc as The Sontaran Experiment) but it can also be found on the Internet Archive. It was originally released on VHS.

This was fun to watch. I watched it a season at a time (20-25 minutes per season) over the course of a few days.

The Phil Silvers Show 4.04

Bilko the Potato Sack King

Bilko gets discharged from the army after he gets offered a job in the civilian world, selling burlap sacks. Bilko's civilian job collapses after the potato industry moves topackaging potaoes in plastic bags.

Bilko almost returns to the army but then he gets the idea to cinvince the US Army to start making uniforms out of burlap, which he renames Burlacon. He almost convinces the big brass to go with his idea until the Army tests the prototype uniforms that Bilko has made.

Thoughts

This might be my new favorite episode from this season.

He goes to see a doctor and learns that he has been poisoned. The poison has been in his system too long for the doctor or anyone to do anything for him. He has only a day or two to live.

Stark Trek (1966) 1.05

The Enemy Within

The transporter malfunctions. Captain Kirk is split in two while beaming back on board from the surface of Alpha 177. One Kirk is kind and thoughtful, the other is violent and animalistic. The dark side of Kirk goes to sick bay and demands that Doctor McCoy hands over the brandy. Kirk's dark side also attacks Yeoman Rand in her living quarters and attempts to rape her. The kind Kirk is indecisive and unable to decide how to proceed.

While capturing dark Kirk, the transporter is damaged and unable to be repaired in less than a week. Four men including Lieutenant Sulu, are still on the planet as night falls and the temperature drops precipitously. Mister Spock finds a work around that allows them to use the transporter. The two Kirks need to be reunited, using the transporter but dark Kirk resists. It is up to kind Kirk to convince him otherwise before the men on the surface of the planet die from exposure to the freezing temperatures.

Adventure Time 4.07

In Your Footsteps

Finn and Jake meet a bear who wants to be just like Finn. Jake is suspicious. He eventually convinces Finn that the bear is up to no good.

The episode ends with Jake giving the bear the Enchiridion. Jake tries to talk him out of giving the book to the bear but Finn does it anyway. The bear gives the book to a slug who seems very happy to get it.

Thoughts

It's been a long time since I watched as episode of Adventure Time, since Aug 2016. Crazy.

Steven Universe 1.02

Laser Light Cannon

Beach City is theatened by a giant object in the sky. Steven turns to his father for help in finding his mother's Laser Light Cannon. He digs through his father's storage unit and finds it. Steven and his father get it to the beach just in time to use it and obliterate the giant object in the sky, which kind of looks like a big eyeball.

Thoughts

Steven and his father get to the beach in his father's van. On the way to the beach they listen to a song that his father recorded years before, Let Me Drive My Van into Your Heart.

This was fun and not too complicated.

Fargo 5.02

Trials and Tribulations

Sheriff Roy Tillman of Stark County, ND meets with Munch, the kidnapper who survived and got away from the gas station. Munch explains that they weren't properly warned what to expect and that they should have been paid more given the level of danger. Tillman agrees to pay Munch anyway but Gator, Tillman's righthand man, doesn't get the job done. Munch gets away after breaking Gator's wrist and shooting two of Roy's men. They were getting ready to execute him.

Officer Olmstead visits the Lyon home. She meets with Dot and Wayne. She casts doubts on Dot's story but Dot has excuses for everything. Officer Olmstead leaves empty handed but promises to keep working the case, which does not please Dot.

Spy x Family 1.02

Secure a Wife

Loid needs a wife to take with him to the interview at Eden College.

Yor Briar, an assassin with the code name of Thorn Princess, needs a boyfriend or husband. Her brother Yuri and her coworkers keep giving her a hard time about being single.

Loid and Yor cross paths. Anya is gob smacked and very excited to learn that Yor is an assassin. Anya uses what she learns from reading their minds to help them open up to one another. Loid agrees to go to a party with Yor that one of her coworkers is having and pretend to be her boyfriend. He asks in return that she go the interview with him and pretend to be his wife.

Interior Chinatown 1.10

Willis, Willis Wu

Willis meets the Painted Faces, learns who they really are. He talks to Turner and Lana about what he found out about the Painted Faces. Willis and Turner later meet up with Green. The Port Harbor Police are after Willis. He has to run but then he gets a chance to explain it all to the reporters who are also there.

Everything comes to a head. Everyone (Willis, Lana, Turner, Green, Willis' parents, Fatty, Betty Wu, Uncle Wong, etc.) winds up at the Golden Palace. The video game plays a role in the ending but it doesn't resolve everything, nor does everything else.

The episode ends with Willis sitting at a desk, in front of a laptop, typing the end to a script. Lana walks in. Fade to black.

Neon Genesis Evangelion 1.24

The Last Cometh

Another pilot arrives, Kaworu Nagisa. He spends time with Shinji but he later presents a threat to Nerv. He takes control of Unit 02. Shinji goes after his in Unit 01. Readings seem to indicate that Kaworu is an Angel. Shinji stops him in Unit 01 but he later regrets it.

Thoughts

They keep talking about things that I don't understand. They keep talking about people or things that haven't been shown, as far as I can tell. I don't understand what they are going on about. It is almost like there is another show that I should have watched before watching this one or that I should be watching in parallel with this one.

Bleach 1.11

The Legendary Quincy

Ichigo and Rukia learn that Uryu Ishida, one of their classmates, is a Quincy. Rukia goes to see Urahara to learn more about the Quincys. Ishida challenges Ichigo to a duel while she is talking to Urahara.

Urahara explains that the Quincy's are a group of humans that died out 200 years ago. They fought Hollows, just like Soul Reapers do, but (unlike Shinigami) Quincy kill all Hollows they encounter.

The episode ends on cliffhanger after Ichigo has separated from his body and entrusted it to Kon. Uryu is getting ready to explain the rules of the duel just as the episode ends.

Inuyasha 1.17

The Cursed Ink of the Hell-Painter

An artist who has found a shard of the Shikon Jewel uses it to bring his paintings of demons to life. Miroku parts ways with Kagome, Inuyasha, and Shippo but eventually they are reunited when they find themselves fighting the demons released by the artist. 

Thoughts

This episode felt very monster-of-the-week. It doesn't seem to lead anywhere by itself. Kagome and the others find another shard of the Shikon Jewel. This one was mostly action but I didn't find the action to be all that interesting. There wasn't as much humor in this episode as there has been in some of the episodes I prefer. It also lacked in meaningful character moments. It is not one of my favorite episodes.

Nick, a man on the run is found and taken in by a small community of artists. His presence gives Margo, the youngest of the artists, hope. Nick's presence and his growing closeness Margo angers Chris, one of the other artists. Chris thought that Margo was his but she rejects that notion.

Chris tries to get Nick to leave. He gets into a fight with Nick. Finally, when he learns that Nick is wanted by the police he tells them where he can be found.

Witness for the Execution

Ninety-year-old Lawrence Everette wants to hire Maddie and David to witness his murder. Maddie doesn't want to have anything to do with the matter. David is okay with taking the case. They argue about it. He winds up going to Mr. Everette's room at the nursing home at the appointed hour. Mr. Everette is already dead.

David is standing over the life-support machines in Mr. Everette's room when a nurse walks in. She accuses David of murdering Mr. Everette. David runs off. He stops by Maddie's home later that night. He tells her what happened. While they are talking police detective Lieutenant Tappia shows up.

Maddie talks to the detective but is evasive when he asks her about David. The detective leaves. Maddie returns to her bedroom only to discover that David has left.

Spy x Family 1.01

Operation Strix

Twilight, a spy, is given a mission which requires him to have a family to maintain his cover and get close to his target. Loid Forger (aka Twilight) is looking for an extremely intelligent child because he needs to enroll them in Eden College, a prestigious school, and there is an entrance exam the child will have to pass. He adopts Anya, a five-year-old girl who seems to be extremely intelligent.

Loid doesn't realize that Anya is a telepath. She escaped from secret government program where she was raised. She has faked intelligence by reading other people's minds. She manages to pass the entrance exam but then Twilight discovers that he is expected to bring his wife and Anya in for an interview before Anya can be admitted to the school.

Star Trek (1966) 1.04

The Naked Time

Mr. Spock and Lt JG Tomolen beam down to Psi 2000 to investigate what happened to the team that was stationed there. Everyone is dead. Tormolen gets infected with something that causes him to act irrationally. His condition is unknowingly transmitted to others. Mr. Sulu is among the first to be infected when he confronts Tormolen about his behavior.

Riley, another infected crew member, locks himself in engineering, shuts down the engines, and interferes with Kirk's ability to control the Enterprise. Spock and then Kirk also get infected but by then Dr. McCoy has come up with a cure.

Steven Universe 1.01

Gem Glow

Steven has a panic attack when he learns that his favorite ice cream sandwich has been discontinued and struggles to discover how to activate his gem's special weapon. He gets his weapon, a shield, to activate once but only by chance and can't figure out how to recreate the experience.

Steven's friends (Garnet, Amethyst, Pearl) fight centipede like monsters but in the end need a bit of help from Steven to win the fight.

Thoughts

The episodes of this show are fairly short, about 12 minutes each.

Fargo 5.01

The Tragedy of the Commons

Dorothy "Dot" Lyon is at a school board meeting at Scandia Middle School at which a fight breaks out. She tasers one man (who comes at her in a threatening manner) and then another as she tries to escape the meeting with her child, Scotty. The second man she tasers is a police officer but she doesn't realize that until it is too late. Dot gets arrested and taken in by Officer Indira Olmstead of the Scandia Police Department. Dot spends a few hours in jail until Wayne, her husband gets her out. Lorraine Lyon, Wayne's mother, has some pull with local law enforcement. 

Dot is abducted the next day by two men wearing ski masks, after her husband and Scotty have left for the day. She puts up a fight before they knock her out. She hits one of the men with a lighter and bottle of hairspray, setting his ski mask on fire. She hits the other one with an ice skate, cutting up part of his face with the blade of the skate.

J.D.'s Revenge (1976)

The soul of New Orleans gangster J.D. Walker returns more than 30 years after he was murdered. Walker is looking for revenge. Intermittently and to a larger and larger degree Walker starts to take over the body and mind of law student Ike Hendrix (Glynn Turman). J.D. interferes with Ike's shared life with Christella (Joan Pringle), his girlfriend. J.D.'s search for his killer leads him to the church of Reverend Elijah Bliss (Louis Gossett Jr.) whose daughter's mother was J.D.'s sister Roberta.

Interior Chinatown 1.09

Bad Guy

McDonough resurfaces. He looks the same as he did a decade ago. Willis talks to McDonough and gets the real story about how he was shot and who shot him. Willis continues to search for Johnathan. It ultimately leads him to the Painted Faces.

Green finds footage of Willis and realizes that they've been dealing with him much longer that they thought they were. She tries to talk Turner into returning to work as a police detective. Turner has become a manga-ka and chooses not to return with Green.

Lana works at the Golden Palace with Carl and Fatty. Audrey visits Lily and then stops by Fatty's apartment. They talk and then she kisses Fatty. The episode ends with a message popping up on the arcade game. It reads something like

Neon Genesis Evangelion 1.23

Tears

Another Angel attacks. Rei tries to deal with it in Unit 00. The Angel overwhelms Unit 00 and Rei. Asuka tries to help but she can't make Unit 02 function. Shinji is sent out in Unit 01. The Angel has merged with Unit 00 and Rei. She destroys Unit 00 which also destroys herself and the Angel.

Everyone is sad. Rei is gone but then she's back. It's a clone of the Rei who was just killed. Ritsuko shows Shinji and Katsuragi the secret chamber where the spare versions of Rei are kept. Ritsuko is disgusted with herself. She pulls the plug on the spare versions of Rei in the secret chamber.

Doctor Who (1963) 8.02.06

The Mind of Evil - Part Six

The Brigadier shows up and shoots Mailer before he can shoot the Doctor. U.N.I.T. quickly takes control of Stangmoor Prison. The Brigadier puts Sergeant Benton in charge of the prison and turns his attention to finding the missing missile.

The Doctor mulls over what the Master is up to before going down to check on the machine. It has broken the collar that was holding it in check. Barnham turns out to be the key to keep it from killing anyone else. It remains passive as long as he is very close to it.

The Doctor gets a telephone call from the Master. They strike a deal. The Doctor agrees to return the Master's dematerialization circuit in return for the missile. The Doctor brings with him Jo, Barham, and the machine in the van that he drives over to the hangar where the Master and the missile can be found.

Bleach 1.10

Casual Soul Realm Assault Trip!

Ichigo, Rukia, their classmates, and his family all go to watch the taping of a celebrity reality TV show. Don Kan'onji, the host claims to be a spiritual medium. He plans to exorcise a spirit that lives in an abandoned hospital. Instead he causes the spirit to turn into a Hollow.

Ichigo, with some help from Urahara, transforms into his spirit self and helps Don Kan'onji deal with the spirit. Kan'onji doesn't realize the danger the Hollow poses until Ichigo educates him.

Thoughts

This is a fairly light episode compared to the last couple.

Inuyasha 1.16

Mystical Hand of the Amorous Monk, Miroku

Kagome, Inuyasha, and Shippo encounter Miroku, a monk who like them is searching for shards of the Shikon Jewel. He steals the shards that Kagome wears around her neck. Inuyasha tracks him down but the wind tunnel, which is kind of like a black hole, in Miroku's right hand makes him very tough to beat.

Kagome joins the fight. She collides with Miroku knocking him out. Miroku tells them about his hand and his quest after he wakes up. A curse was placed on his grandfather by a demon named Naraku. The curse was passed down to Miroku. who is still searching for Naraku.

Miroku's story reveals that Naraku is probably the one who killed Kikyo while disguised as Inuyasha. Kagome suggests that Miroku join them in their quest for the shards of the Shikon Jewel.

Moonlighting 2.14

Every Daughter's Father Is a Virgin

Alexander and Virginia Hayes, Maddie's parents, come to Los Angeles for a wedding. Maddie's mother suspects that Alexander is having an affair. Maddie hires David to follow her father and see what he can find. David follows Maddie's father to a hotel, finds out his room number, and knocks on the door when he knows that he isn't there. A woman answers the door who isn't Virginia.

David reports back in to Maddie what he found. Maddie feels like she has to tell her mother but doesn't know how to do it. Maddie and David go to dinner with Maddie's parents the next night. Maddie can't bring herself to tell her mother but after dinner, when she gets a moment alone with her father she gives her father a piece of her mind.

Bilko's Deluxe Tours

Bilko starts a tour bus company using the bus he tricked the local school into selling him. The original reason for buying the bus was so that they would have a way to get to San Francisco but after they learn that there are plans to start running trains five times a day from Grove City into San Francisco he realizes that he stands to lose money if he doesn't find a way to make money using the bus.

Thoughts

I wasn't overwhelmed by this episode but it might be my favorite of the first three episodes of the fourth season.

Star Trek (1966) 1.03

Where No Man Has Gone Before

Captain Kirk, Mr. Spock, and the crew of the Enterprise investigate traces they find of a ship that disappeared a couple centuries earlier. The investigation takes the ship through a space anomaly when two members of the crew (Lieutenant Commander Gary Mitchell and Doctor Elizabeth Dehner) are struck down. Mitchell and Dehner recover but Mitchell seems to have gained great power.

The Enterprise was damaged in the strike that also affected Mitchell and Dehner. The Enterprise heads to Delta Vega, a nearby planet where there is an automated facility, in the hopes of finding parts to repair the ship. A landing party beams down to look for parts. Captain Kirk, Mr. Spock, Dr. Dehner, and Lieutenant Commander Mitchell are among those in the group that descend to the planet's surface. Mitchell has to be sedated and does not go willingly.

Twin brothers and gynecologists Beverly and Elliot Mantle (both played by Jeremy Irons) find their relationship deteriorating after Beverly enters a relationship with actress Claire Niveau (Geneviève Bujold), one of Elliot's patients.

Claire has a history of misusing prescription drugs. Beverly joins her in experimenting with prescription meds in the hopes that it will enhance their sexual adventures. It seems to help at first but Elliot can sense that something is off with his brother.

Better Call Saul 5.10

Something Unforgivable

Jimmy and Kim move into a hotel in downtown Albuquerque. They are still worried about Lalo coming after them. Jimmy reaches out to Mike but Mike won't talk to him. Jimmy goes to Mike's house and makes a nuisance of himself. Mike lets him in and tells him that there is nothing to worry about. Lalo will be taken care of within 24 hours.

Kim goes back to work doing pro bono work. She takes on some more cases. She runs into Howard, who tells her about what Jimmy did to him: bowling balls, hookers. It makes her laugh. She goes back to the hotel and tells Jimmy about running into Howard. She suggests that they get him good, put a real dent in his reputation, something unforgivable.

Interior Chinatown 1.08

Ad Guy

Willis makes commercials for various products (canned whiskey, deodorant, luxury watches, hot sauce). Lily continues to work in real estate. She gets a bit of a wake up call when her attempt to shoot a real estate commercial with an Asian family gets derailed by Betty Chan.

Willis cuts himself off from everyone he knows. His only companion is his new assistant, Josh. Willis doesn't exactly get along with Josh, who is super perky.

Willis runs into Fatty when he goes to shoot a commercial. Fatty accuses Willis of selling out. Willis gets thrown in a vat of hot sauce.

Asuka flashes back to her childhood and reflects on many things. She is filled with all sorts of feelings, chief amongst them seems to be anger. She is angry at Shinji and Rei mostly. She seems to be angry at Rei for following orders. She seems to angry at Shinji for surpassing her as a pilot.

An angel launches an attack from space. Asuka insists on being the one to take it on. She is no match for it. She uses up all her ammunition and then does nothing as her vital signs start to drop, Rei is sent out in Unit 00 with the Spear of Longinus. It is the only weapon that can reach the Angel in orbit of the Earth. Rei hurls it at the Angel and destroys it but the spear is lost.

The Mind of Evil - Part Five

The machine attacks one of the prisoners. It is getting ready to attack the Doctor and Jo when Mailer comes in. Mailer leaves as soon as the machine turns its focus on him. The machine teleports out of the room.

The Doctor and Jo go outside briefly but they are caught by some of the prisoners before they can make a break for it or signal to anyone what's going on inside Stangmoor.

The Master talks to Captain Yates, who is tied to a chair. The Master returns to Stangmoor after talking to Yates.

The Brigadier and Major Cosworth make plans to break into Stangmoor.

Bleach 1.09

Unbeatable Enemy

Ichigo recognizes the Grand Fisher, the Hollow who has captured Yuzu and Karin. It is the same Hollow who killed their mother six years before. Ichigo gets first Yuzu and then Karin free from the grips of the Grand Fisher.

Eikichirō Saidō tries to help and gets knocked out. Rukia tries to help but her magic is still too weak. Ichicgo takes on the Grand Fisher by himself. Rukia accepts that Ichigo needs to fight this Hollow by himself.

Thoughts

This was an okay episode. It's not a favorite of mine. It was a little too serious but lacking in substance. It was all about Ichigo wanting to avenge his mother's murder. He somehow manages to strike a heavy enough blow to cause the Grand Fisher to run off but it didn't exactly feel earned. I expected more from an episode with a title like this one has.

Inuyasha 1.15

Return of the Tragic Priestess, Kikyo

Inuyasha, Shippo, and Kaede survive the fall from the bridge. They rush to find Kagome. Kaede suspects that Urasue is going to use Kagome's soul to bring Kikyo back to life. Urasue does just that.

Kagome uses shards of the Shikon Jewel to try to prevent Urasue's magic from separating her soul from her body but it is too late. Kagome falls into a deep sleep as her soul leaves her body and reanimates Kikyo.

Kikyo attacks Inuyasha and accuses him of betraying her. He insists that he is innocent of harming her. Kikyo hits Inuyasha with an arrow that seems to kill him. Kikyo seems satisfied with Inuyasha's demise and Kagome's soul departs her body and returns to Kagome's body.

In God We Strongly Suspect

The Great Kandinsky, an escape artist, dies while attempting to escape (while handcuffed) from a tank of water. His widow hires David and Maddie to keep an eye on the body until it gets cremated. They spend the night at the funeral home in the room with the body. The body is there when they arrive but when they wake up the next morning it is gone.

Maddie and David drive to Mrs. Kandinsky's home. They tell her what happened. She is freaked out and slams the door in their faces. They drive around town looking for the body. They wind up at the morgue. They talk to the medical examiner. They ask to see any John Doe's that were brought in. The first one they look at is Mrs. Kandinsky.

David and Maddie don't know what to think. They mull over the situation. The next day the Great Kandinsky turns up dead, for a second time. Maddie and David return to the morgue and confront the medical examiner. He is less than pleased to see them.

Bell has been living with secrets which have wrecked a certain amount of havoc on her life. Her relationship with her husband has fallen apart. Her relationship with her daughter is even worse.

Charlie X

The Enterprise picks up a 17-year-old named Charles Evans. He was living on the planet Thasus by himself. He had been there since he was three years old. Charlie has trouble adjusting to life on the Enterprise. He worries very much about people liking him. He quickly develops a crush on Yeoman Janice Rand.

Captain Kirk tries to advise Charlie as to how to behave around Yeoman Rand and the rest of the crew. Charlie doesn't care for the advice that Captain Kirk gives him. He kills two members of the crew, one of whom is Yeoman Rand, and destroys a nearby starship.

Charlie takes complete control of the Enterprise. Captain Kirk tries to overload Charlie by having Mr. Spock and Doctor McCoy turn on every program and machine they can from the bridge. A Thasian ship shows up just and retrieves Charlie. Their leader apologizes for what Charlie has done. He restores the crew members who were killed or changed in other ways by Charlie.

The Old Grist Mill

Wirt and Greg, brothers, get lost and wind up at the old grist mill. The woodsman who lives there builds a fire and invites them to stay but then a wild dog shows up.

Thoughts

I'm not sure what to make of this. I'm tempted to keep watching but I'm also tempted to stop and not watch anymore.

Chinese rebels including Wan Jen-mi (the innkeeper of Spring Inn) and her four serving girls work with other rebels to intercept Lee Khan (Tien Feng), a high official of the Mongol emperor. Khan possesses the stolen battle plans of one of the leaders of the Chinese rebels.

Wan Jen-mi (Li Li-Hua) and the other rebels work to lull Lee Khan and his entourage into a false sense of security. Tsao Yu-kun (Roy Chieh), a spy who is posing as a member of Lee Khan's security team, does his best to pretend to be working for the Mongol side. When things get pushed to the limit an all out fight breaks out in which everyone at Spring Inn takes part.

Better Call Saul 5.09

Bad Choice Road

Saul and Mike return from the desert. Saul takes the cash to the detention facility and bails out Lalo. He doesn't mention Mike or the men who tried to kill him. He says that he got the money and then headed back but his car broke down about six or seven miles into the drive back. He walked back, across the desert. That's the story he tells Lalo.

Lalo accepts the story. Nacho picks up Lalo and they leave. Jimmy goes home to Kim. He doesn't tell her the full story. She finds his coffee mug which has a bullet hole in it. She says he's lying to her. He admits that he had to drink his own pee but he doesn't tell her about the men with guns or Mike. She doesn't tell him that she found the coffee mug.

Interior Chinatown 1.07

Detective

Lana reveals that she was in a romantic relationship with Jonathan, Willis' brother. Lana pairs up with Green and checks the docks to look for the boat on which Lana and Johnathan used to hang. Willis pairs up with Turner and goes looking for Detective Carrey one of the detectives that Jonathan used to help out. No one seems to know what happened to him in the twelve years since Jonathan disappeared.

Both teams find what they are looking for but there are some bumps along the way. Lana and Green don't get along at first. Once Lana comes clean, and tells Green about her relationship with Jonathan, the two start to get along better.
