Despicable Villain: The Mystery of Onigumo!
Inuyasha and Miroku turn to Kaede for guidance in finding Naraku. Inuyasha is still hurting from his fight with Sesshomaru but he insists that is he well enough to deal with Naraku.
Kaede takes them to a cave where Onigumo, a badly injured man used to live. Kikyo used to bring him food. Onigumo disappeared after Inuyasha was bound to the tree and Kikyo was killed.
Kagome returns to school in the modern era. She can't stop thinking about Inuyasha and the hug he gave her. Her friends push her into accepting a date with one of their classmates.
Naraku sends Royakhan after Inuyasha. Royakhan is a spirit who protects the forest and produces three eyed wolves when he roars. It is only with some help from Miroku that Inuyasha is able to scare off Royakhan.
Kaede and Miroku lock up Inuyasha against his will so that he will have time to heal. Naraku imbues Royakhan with a shard of the Shikon Jewel and sends him back to find and destroy Inuyasha
Thoughts
This one ends on a cliffhanger as it seems almost every other episode does.
Was Onigumo really Naraku? There is no definitive answer but maybe one will be provided in the next episode.
I'm curious to see how Kagome returns to the Feudal Era. She doesn't have any shards of the Shikon Jewel and Inuyasha has, in the Feudal Era, blocked up the well with a tree.
