An earthquake beneath the sea causes problems for the Vegans. One of their undersea monitoring stations gets pushed to the surface. They send a saucer beast to destroy it. The saucer beast also destroys a passing ship.

Gwen Stacy (Hailee Steinfeld) has still not told her father about her life as Spider-Woman. He thinks that Spider-Woman killed her friend, Peter Parker. She leaves her universe once again and joins an association of Spider heroes. They are led by Miguel O'Hara (aka Spider-Man 2099).

Gwen is given a mission to keep an eye on the Spot, a new villain who live in the same universe as Miles Morales (Shameik Moore), whom she hasn't seen since the events of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018). Instead of keeping an eye on the Spot she looks up Miles and spends time with him. It isn't until it is too late that she realizes her mistake.

Maddie comes in for her first day at the Blue Moon Detective Agency only to find that no one is doing anything that resembles work. She is ready to call the whole thing off when David tells her that there is a client arriving at their offices in 20 minutes. David rushes out, grabs Farley Wrye, who was sitting in the reception area of another business, and presents him as their new client.

Wrye explains that he is dying and that he is looking for his son, Michael. He offers to pay them $10,000 if they can find him before he dies. They take the case and go looking. The only clue they have is that the father thinks Michael maybe in a shady line of business.

David and Maddie go to a bar in a rough section of town. David asks the bartender if he has seen Michael Wrye. The bartender reacts violently when he hears the name. He pulls them into a back room and explains to them that Michael Wrye is a hitman.

New York police officers Gravedigger Jones (Godfrey Cambridge) and Coffin Ed Johnson (Raymond St. Jacques) are on the scene when Reverend Deke O'Malley (Calvin Lockhart) runs off with $87,000. He took the money from people in Harlem whom he promised a place on a ship that was going to take them to a better place.

They money is seemingly stolen from O'Malley during a rally he was holding on the street. Gravedigger and Coffin Ed chase the thieves who are themselves being pursued by O'Malley. The chase for the missing cash doesn't end with the car chase that started it.

O'Malley goes missing but Jones and Johnson are on the job searching for him and investigating others who might know something about the theft.

Chocolate Chip Nookie

Aleida starts to sneak stuff into the prison with Hopper but she doesn't tell him about it. Daya knows how to find it as she is part of the cleaning crew. She passes the drugs along to Daddy who distributes them.

Luschek has trouble keeping the dance exercise class going. He needs Mendoza to help teach the class but she is too scared of Baddison to do that. 

Luschek gets pressure from inmates and correctional officers to have an inter block kickball tournament in the yard. The inmates want some time outside and the correctional officers are hoping that a fight will break out that will juice the betting pool.

Zirconia takes advantage of her new found place in Baddison's gang and gives Mendoza and Flores a hard time.

Carol and Barb get the backstory spotlight. They kill their little sister after their parents decide that the family should move to Texas because their little sister needs more gymnastic training. Barb and Carol lock her in a car and push it into a frozen lake.

The Tick (2016) 1.04

Party Crashers

The tick survives the fall from a dozen or more stories. It finally sinks in that Arthur no longer has the suit so Overkill leaves. He takes Arthur's files with him.

Arthur invites the Tick to stay at his place over night. The next morning Arthur discovers that the Tick has invited a homeless man, Tinfoil Kevin, to stay with them. Arthur tries to explain why that is not okay. The Tick does not understand.

Miss Lint tries to figure out how to activate the suit, without success. She finally realizes, with some help from her ex-husband with whom she does not get along, that the suit is imprinted on Arthur so only he can activate it.

Arthur goes to a birthday party for Walter, his stepfather. Dot is at the party. She reminded him about the party. The Tick, despite being told not to, shows up at the party. He gets along quite well with Walter.

Miss Lint finds Arthur, at the party. She has brought the suit with her. She wants him to activate the suit and then transfer the ownership to herself. Arthur tries to comply with her demands but then he changes his mind and takes off running in the suit. The episode ends with Arthur jumping off a balcony to escape from Miss Lint. The wings in the suit activate but Arthur has trouble controlling them.
