Queen Sono 1.03

The Devil's Toys

Shandu and some of his followers put on a show for the cameras of his new employer, Superior Solutions. They make it looks like they've been killed but it is all PR.

Queen travels to Nairobi with Miri, Dr. Isaacs, and Fred to a security conference. Ekaterina Gromova is there making a presentation. Queen, posing as a journalist asks Ekaterina some questions. Ekaterina gets suspicious and has her people look into Queen and one of her men follow her.

Nurse Jackie 1.10

Ring Finger

Jackie forgets to remove her wedding ring before getting to the hospital. She tries but can't seem to remove it no matter how hard she tries.

Dr. O'Hara tries to apologize to Jackie but Jackie isn't receptive. Jackie changes her tune after she realizes that she can't get her wedding ring off. Dr. O'Hara helps her cut it off.

Coop confronts Jackie about the organ donor from 1.09. Someone is asking for paper work that he never signed. He gives her the third degree over it. She turns the tables on him later in the episode. He grabs her breast. She tells him in a soothing voice that he's just having a bad day and that it is all going to be alright. She kisses him.

Star Blazers 2199 1.17

Out of the Forest of Memory

General Domel is recalled and accused of being behind the attack that killed Desler. Domel objects to the accusation but his objections are ignored and he is sentenced to death. His wife has already been arrested and is carted off with a bunch of other rebels. Melba Ditz watches from a distance as Elisa is loaded on to a ship with a bunch of other prisoners.

The Yamato arrives at a giant space gate. XO Sanada believes that the gate will allow them to leap forward 30,000 light years and get back on track. He goes to investigate the gate, which needs to be activated before they can use it, along with Kodai and Mori.

Future Man 2.03

A Wolf in the Torque House

Wolf wakes up among a group of people who believe him to be someone named Torque. He doesn't recognize any one them but he does recognize a few other people. None of the ones he recognizes are the people he thinks they are.

It turns out that Wolf is part of a cluster: three men (Wolf, Lathe, Hatchet) and three women (Level, Thimble, Rake) who are married to one another. He is the bread-earner for the cluster. He makes wheels. He has assistant named Pump, who isn't very good at making wheels.

Atypical 3.05

Only Tweed

Evan stays over, accidentally. He and Casey oversleep in her room. Casey makes a scene so that Evan can sneak out. Before he leaves Casey let's him know that Doug is ready for him to come for a ride-a-long.

Queen Sono 1.02

Dying Is Sore

Queen goes to a party in Harare. She is there for business purposes. She catches the eye of Elton, a rich white man, her intended target. Things are going well but then he gets suspicious of her. She gets worried for her life and provokes a fight which turns into a gun battle. Elton is shot and killed in the midst of the battle, but not by Queen. She manages to escape.

Elton's real name is Vitaly Gromova. His father is the leader of a Russian crime family. Ekaterina, Vitaly's older sister, learns of his death just as she is having a chat with Shandu. She was trying to push him away from her brother.

Captain Kronos - Vampire Hunter (1974)

Captain Kronos (Janson), a former soldier, travels with Professor Hieronymus Grost (Cater). They hunt vampires and have fought them before. Kronos stops long enough to free Carla (Munro), a young woman locked up in the stocks. She joins them on their journey. They arrive in the village where Dr. Marcus (Carson), an old friend of Kronos, lives.

There is a vampire (of sorts) terrorizing the locals. It has killed a few villagers already. It seems to suck the life force out of them, leaving them aged husks of what they were. More villagers die before Kronos, Grost, and Marcus figure out where the vampire is holed up. Marcus gets bitten by the vampire. He tells Kronos that he must kill him before he turns into one of the undead.

Duckman 1.02

T.V. or Not to Be

Duckman and Cornfed try to find out who stole Mother Mirabelle's valuable painting. Cornfed suspects that it might be an Andy Warhol look-a-like. Duckman gets killed when he tries to recover the painting. He goes to heaven, much to his surprise, where he meets God. Duckman wants to stay but God sends him back to the land of the living after he realizes that Duckman died before his time.

Duckman changes his life and tries to preach to the world, fairly unsuccessfully. He goes to see Mother Mirabelle who is in the process of uniting the leaders of the world's major religions.

Nurse Jackie 1.09

Nosebleed

Jackie tries to get Dr. Cooper to sign off an organ donation for patient who is probably brain dead. Coop is a little too busy having fun with Melissa Greenfield, who last met him when her mother was brought to the ER by her sister in the previous episode.

Jackie's nose starts bleeding, probably due to whatever it is that she's been snorting. Dr. O'Hara takes a look at it. She suspects that Jackie's been snorting something but Jackie denies it. She also gets snippy with Dr. O'Hara over a perceived breach of confidentiality.

A Choice for the Future

The Yamato arrives at Bemela 4, an earth-like planet. A small team led by Kodai is sent down to the surface to investigate. Misaki is among them. She still seems a bit out of it. She seems to have gaps in her memory that she can't explain.

Ito, the security chief, takes advantage of the situation. He uses the security forces to launch a coup while Captain Okita is sick in bed. Chief Intelligence Officer Kaoru helps him by talking Chief Navigation Officer Shima into joining the coup.

Future Man 2.02

The i of the Tiger

This episode picks up with what happened to Tiger and Wolf after the end of the first season. They return to the future, to the year 2162. They think that everything is better but they soon discover otherwise. Wolf tries eating a mega-bean and gets very sick. Humans show up from a settlement called the NAG (New Above Ground) to help him. Their leader thinks he recognizes Wolf but he calls him Torque. The leader looks just like Weasel but he goes by Wrench. He doesn't recognize Tiger.

We Go Way Back (2006)

Kate learns on her 23rd birthday that she has been picked to play the title role in Hedda Gabler. Up to that point she was just an assistant in the company, helping out where ever she was needed. She rises to the occasion and tries to do everything that the micromanaging director asks her to do. She gives and gives.

Kate sleepwalks through awkward sexual encounters. She learns enough Norwegian to perform her lines in the original language. She puts up with having the director replace the actor who was playing her husband with his 15-year-old nephew. She keeps her head up and keeps trying but eventually it comes to be too much.

Atypical 3.04

Y.G.A.G.G.

Paige encourages Sam to make some friends. He's resistant. He already has Zahid. Paige tells him a story about her roommate who freaked out at a party and is now made fun of by everybody. She doesn't want Sam to wind up like her roommate.

Queen Sono 1.01

I Am Queen Sono

Queen Sono, a field operative for the Special Operations Group. She returns to Johannesburg from a mission in Zanzibar on the 25th anniversary of her mother's death. She was a child when her mother was assassinated. She was there. Her mother was a freedom fighter. Queen does her best to ignore the commemorations that are held.

Queen turns to William, a friend, for some help getting out of a psychiatric evaluation that her boss wants her do go for. She surprises William later in the episode when she shows up at the restaurant where he is having dinner with Nova, his girlfriend.

Nurse Jackie 1.08

Pupil

Jackie gets overwhelmed at work when her shift is 4 nurses short. She get Sam, a loaner from another hospital, but he is high on something and of little use. She winds up telling him to take hike. He accuses her of being a user ("takes one to know one") before he leaves.

Jackie gets into an argument with Dr. Cooper. It gets heated when he tries talking to her while she is on the phone with Grace, who is having a panic attack. She had kept her life private to the extent that, previously, no one at the hospital, including Eddie, knew she had a daughter. Coop tells him over lunch.

Point of No Return

The Gamilan forces, led by General Domel, set a trap for the Yamato.

Life aboard the Yamato has become less bearable as the ship runs out of supplies, most notably food.

Yamamoto grows despondent when she sees Kodai and Mori together.

Yuria continues to act strange. She asks lots of questions about the wave motion gun and the wave motion engine. Is it her or the spirit of the Yamato speaking through her?

Future Man 2.01

Countdown to a Prologue

Josh wakes up, no longer in a jail cell. He is back in Joosh's home. He is under house arrest. Paul and Officer Skarsgaard are keeping an eye on him. It seems a little weird until Tiger and Wolf show up. They kill Paul and Skarsgaard, who were actually biotics, and explain to Josh that they have to save the world again.

Orange Is the New Black 3.13

Trust No Bitch

Lots of wrap up and lots of flashbacks but there is no one character that gets the backstory spotlight. There are instead lots of little flashback moments, like in 3.01, including one to Healy's youth and another to Watson as a teen.

Atypical 3.03

Cocaine Pills and Pony Meat

Sam has more trouble adjusting to life at Denton University. Doug suggests he try scheduling things. It works at first but then he gets off track and everything seems to fall apart. He's about ready to quit when Doug suggests he drop a class. Instead of dropping a class, or maybe in addition to doing so, Sam goes to see  counselor and asks for some help.

Fast Break (1979)

David Green gets a cut rate offer to coach the men's basketball team from Cadwallader University. He recruits fours guys to join the team before leaving New York City for Nevada. The deal that Green makes with the president of Cadwallader is that if he wins big then he will get a contract with a large increase in pay. The team hits a few bumps in the road but they are an instant success at Cadwallader.

Thoughts

I keep thinking that I have seen this movie before but watching it now brought back no memories of having seen it before. I think that I get this movie mixed up with Skateboard for some reason.

Nurse Jackie 1.07

Steak Knife

Jackie reacts badly when Eddie remembers their one year anniversary and she doesn't.

God isn't very nice and is played by Michael Buscemi, brother of Steve Buscemi, who directed this episode.

Maybe I just wasn't in the right episode but this one didn't do very much for me.

Spenser Confidential (2020)

The backstory, which is revealed at the beginning of the movie, is that Spenser is a former police officer from Boston. He spent 5 years in prison for attacking Captain Boylan, a superior officer in the Boston Police Department. He has plans to move to Arizona and start over but those plans quickly get derailed when Captain Boylan is murdered.

Spenser is suspected of killing Boylan but he has an alibi. Spenser is ready to move on with his life when Terence Graham, another police officer, is murdered. Graham was a colleague of Spenser's. The murder of Boylan quickly gets pinned on Graham. Spenser can't let that stand and starts to look into what happened.

Orange Is the New Black 3.12

Don't Make Me Come Back There

Daya gets closer to giving birth. Aleida tries to reconcile with her but Daya doesn't want to hear it and doesn't buy what she does hear. Daya winds up getting taken to a hospital after she starts bleeding.

Reds (1981)

This is the story of Jack Reed and Louis Bryant but mostly it is his story. He started as a journalist but towards the end of his short life, he died a few days before his 33rd birthday, at the time of the Russian Revolution and in its immediate aftermath he became an advocate for the communist cause. He traveled to Russia twice. He grew increasingly frustrated with the Bolsheviks and their way of getting things done. He died in Russia and is buried in the Kremlin.
