(Don't) Say Anything
Caputo hires Taystee to be his office assistant. She follows him around while he inspects the housing for the new guards. It is old housing that is being refurbished by inmates. She also answers his phone for him although she doesn't fully understand what all buttons are for.
Judy King joins Red's garden club. Red isn't very welcoming. Vause and Whitehill worry that someone will find the body parts they buried in the garden. Red doesn't take Judy King's arrival lying down. She complains to Healy but that doesn't get her anywhere.
Poussey and Soso's relationship starts to bloom. Poussey still has trouble talking to Judy King. Soso goes to see Judy King and tries to explain to her why Poussey is acting so weird around her. Soso makes some assumptions but she talks Judy into meeting with Poussey to smooth things out.
Soso gets the back story spotlight. She was helping to collect signatures to prevent the construction of a new Walmart in the neighborhood. One of her neighbors was a convicted sexual offender. She goes to get his signature on the petition and learns that his offense was having sex in public.
Caputo goes on a date with Linda. He spots Donaldson, one of the correctional officers who walked out at the end of season 2, working at the restaurant bussing tables. He tries leaving him a tip but Donalson won't take it and gives him a hard time. Caputo throws the money back in Donaldson's face and accuses him of letting him and the local community down by walking out at a crucial time.
Poussey meets with Judy and finds out Soso told Judy that her mother was a crack addict. Poussey is angry and doesn't want to continue her relationship with Soso but Soso uses a stunt from a movie to win Poussey back.
Morello finds out that Vinnie, her husband, still lives at home with her parents. He's embarrassed but he still comes back to see her. They patch things up by talking sexy to each other within earshot of all the other pairs of prisoners and visitors.
Chapman is approached by Ruiz who offers help since some of Chapman's employees have quit. Chapman isn't interested. Ruiz warns her that she might want to rethink her position. It isn't long before Chapman realizes that she is being watched.
Thoughts
I loved the last scene. I like the double meaning of the episode title. I'm even more curious now to see where this season will go. Chapman is clearly in over her head and has no idea how to run this business. It's only a matter of time before it all falls apart.
What is the deal with Natasha Lyonne? Her name continues to appear in the credits but she's been absent from the show since the 3rd episode of season 3.
How will Judy King respond to Red spiking her food? Is Morello's marriage just comic relief? Can Whitehill learn to control her guilty conscience? Was Berlin serious about killing her? How will the new guards work out? Will that blow up in Caputo's face? What about his relationship with Linda?
I'm still enjoying this season. I feel more confident now that I will watch the rest of the season.
