Rage
Several squads of Gardes prepare for the onslaught of the Gauna cores on Sidonia. Tsumugi is enveloped by Gauna 550 but breaks free. Kunato tries to give Tsumugi orders but she is enraged by what she just went through. She attacks the gauna cores that are headed for Sidonia.
Tsumugi gets overwhelmed. Izana tries to help Tsumugi and is dealt a devastating blow. Tsumugi finally comes to her senses, grabs Izana, and heads back to Sidonia. The Gardes continue to fight the swarm of Gauna.
The squads of Gardes attack Gauna 550, surround it but then it starts opening up. It reveals a heigus cannon which it then fires right at Sidonia. The Gardes are helpless to stop the blast but Tsumugi somehow deflects the blast so that is misses Sidonia.
Gauna 550 prepares for another shot. Tanikaze launches himself and his Garde at the Gauna. He jettisons his Garde's propulsion system which he sends straight into the gullet of the Gauna. An explosion occurs. The Gauna's core is exposed. The other Gardes open fire and the Gauna is destroyed.
Tsumugi's and Izana's location isn't clear but Tsumugi appears to be badly injured.
Thoughts
There is way too much action in this season, especially in this episode. There are no real character moments in this episode. Everything happens way too fast. I don't know what to make of it all but I don't love it. I'm not sure I even like it. I'm going to take a break here but I plan to finish the season, primarily because there's just 8 more episodes and because I bought the DVD.
