The Talons of Weng-Chiang - Part 5

The Doctor and Leela find Professor Litefoot just as he is recovering. The time cabinet is gone. The  Doctor starts to put more of the pieces together. His words don't make any sense to Leela or Litefoot. He speaks of the Peking Homunculus, a creature that looks like a short man but that is made of the cerebral cortex of a pig and computer parts. It's actions in the year 5000 almost caused World War VI. 

The Doctor and Leela go looking for Weng-Chiang. Their quest leads them to an opium den where they find Li H'sen-Chang. One of his legs was gnawed off by a giant rat. He tells them to look for the House of the Dragon and to be beware of the eye of the dragon. He dies before he can tell them where to find the House of the Dragon.

Rick and Morty 4.02

The Old Man and the Seat

Rick seeks revenge on the alien who used his toilet. His quest for revenge takes him down a long and winding road.

Jerry ignores Rick's warnings and works with an alien to develop an app. Jerry comes to his senses about the app and then teams up with Morty to try and prevent the destruction of the human race.

Cut the Crap Princess

Ray tries meditating but Gary interrupts him with an idea for a porn production company. Ray doesn't like the idea. Ray stops by a gym and talks to an old friend. His friend asks him about his line of work and why he's still in it. Ray seems to be a bit short on answers.

Britt goes looking in Ray's bedroom when he's not home. She finds a pistol. She plays around with it and winds up shooting a hole in the wall. She tries to cover it up but Ray can smell the gunpowder. She tries to pretend nothing's wrong but eventually she tells him and shows him the hole. She wants him to take her shooting but he isn't too keen on that idea.

Better Call Saul 2.03

Amarillo

Jimmy uses some underhanded tactics to get more people to sign on to the class action case against Sandpiper. Chuck questions how Jimmy was able to sign 24 new clients at one nursing home when they only received one response by mail. Kim questions Jimmy's ethics, in a private conversation. She tells him that she stuck out her neck for him. Jimmy decides its time to try something different.

Mike learns from Stacey, his daughter-in-law, that she heard shots the last couple nights. He offers to stay there but she doesn't want him to. He stakes out the house that night and learns that what she probably heard was just the paper boy delivering papers. The next day Stacey calls Mike and shows him what she thinks is evidence of gun shots. Mike decides that Stacey and Kaylee need to move to a different neighborhood.

Who's the Boss (Part 1)

Lisa is tired of Bill's insubordination. She talk to Dave and together they come up with a plan to teach him a lesson. Lisa makes Bill the boss. Everyone likes him as boss, including Lisa. Dave is the lone holdout.

Joe goes on strike. Mr. James breaks things accidentally in the hopes that Joe won't be able to stand seeing things that need to be fixed and give up on the strike. Mr. James plan doesn't exactly work.

The episode ends with Bill returning to the broadcasting booth. Lisa doesn't want to be boss again. She tries to get Dave to take back his old job. He doesn't want it but agrees to flip Lisa for it.

Knights of Sidonia 2.06

Startup

Nagate moves in with Izana. The pipes are creaking. It turns out to be Tsumugi who has crept through the pipes to visit them.

Yure Shinatose and Numi work on a new weapon. They report in to Captain Kobayashi who wants to know when it will be ready.

Nagate and 3 other pilots take part in a test of a new propulsion system. Momo Kunato, pilots Tsumugi. 

Nagate goes to the real estate office. He has an order which entitles him to a place in any sector, without restrictions. The housing office person finds him just what he wants: a remote place with lots of old piping.

The Talons of Weng-Chiang - Part 4

The Doctor shoots the giant rat with the large rifle that Professor Litefoot loaned him. The rat is killed and Leela is saved. Leela wants to show the Doctor where to find the rat's master but then they hear another rat coming and decide otherwise.

Mr. Jago is heading out when he runs into Mr. Chang. Jago tries talking him into extending his stay at the Palace Theater. Chang is evasive and they don't come to a decision one way or the other.

Leela tells the Doctor what she saw in the layer of the masked man. Leela gets dressed in an outfit that Professor Litefoot bought for her. The Doctor and Professor Litefoot talk about the cabinet while Leela is changing.

Samurai Jack 4.08

XLVII: Jack and the Flying Prince and Princess

Prince Astor and Princess Verbina, siblings, are sent by their parents, the rulers of the planet Chrystallis to find the Royal Navy. Their mission goes awry and they wind up on Earth. Jack sees them crash land but some of Aku's minions get to the royal siblings before him.

Them 1.01

Day 1

The Liva and Henry Emory, an African America couple, move themselves and their two daughters from North Carolina to Compton, CA in hopes of a better life. They are the only Black family in a white neighborhood. Their neighbors don't want them there and start doing what they can to make the Emorys feel uncomfortable.

The women camp out in the street staring at the Emory's house. The men plan that night and decide to poison the Emory's dog. Livia is the most unnerved of the Emory family. She has a gun and loads it up while looking out the window.

Better Call Saul 2.02

Cobbler

Howard tells Chuck about Jimmy's move to Davis & Main.

Jimmy and Kim get a little closer. She makes it clear that she wants them to get closer. 

Mike finds out about the theft of Bryce's valuable baseball cards. Mike intercepts him just as he is getting ready to go see the police about it. Mike promises to find Bryce's baseball cards. Bryce, in return, agrees to avoid the police and pay Mike for his services.

Rick and Morty 4.01

Edge of Tomorty: Rick Die Rickpeat

Rick Takes Morty with him when he goes to mine death crystals. Morty becomes obsessed with the death crystals, which show the person who holds them how they are going to die. Morty gets distracted and accidentally kills Rick.

Knights of Sidonia 2.05

Desire

Izana Shinatose and Tsumugi are badly injured but they both recover. Izana opts to get a robotic hand to replace the one she lost in the battle. Nagate worries about them while they heal.

Tsumugi is set up in new quarters. Izana and Nagate want to bring Tsumugi to the area where most people live but Yuhata denies that request. They go around her and find a way to give Tsumugi a glance at the living area, from a great distance.

Nagate returns from that trip only to find that he's been evicted because his living space is being given to cadets. He turns to Izana and asks if he can stay at her place.

All I Ever Wanted

Gary finds out that his wife is cheating on him with a woman. Ray invites Gary to come stay at his place while he figures things out.

Freddie introduces Ray to Alfredo, a business associate. He's the one who hired Ray to rough up that guy in the previous episode. Alfredo wants to hire Ray to join his crew but Ray isn't interested. He's more of a freelancer than a joiner

Ray finds out that Brittany has a boyfriend. His ex-wife tells him but tells him not to let on that he knows.

Justice League 2.11

Comfort and Joy

The Justice League saves a distant planet and then splits for the winter holidays. Green Lantern decides to stay on the snowy planet and go sledding, just like he used to when he was a kid. Shayera stays with him. They get into a snowball fight and then later head to one of her favorite hangouts. There they engage in one of her favorite activities, a bar room brawl.

The Talons of Weng-Chiang - Part 3

Leela throws a knife at Mr. Sin. It strikes him in the neck but it doesn't stop him. He keeps walking towards her with another knife in his hand. She dives out the window.

The Doctor arrives just in time to hear the commotion. Li H'sen Chang takes a shot at the Doctor with Professor Litefoot's pistol but he misses. The Doctor tells Leela to stay put and he goes looking for the professor. Leela doesn't do as he tells her. She instead follows Chang and Mr. Sin back to the Palace Theater.

The Phil Silvers Show 1.26

Furlough in New York

Sgt Bilko and Sgt Hogan both arrange for furloughs at the same time. He says he is going to Wyoming. She says she is going to South Carolina. They both go to New York City. Their paths cross a number of time without them knowing it.

Better Call Saul 2.01

Switch

Gene (Jimmy's alias after Breaking Bad) is still working at Cinnabon in Omaha, NE. He shuts down the shop and takes the trash to the dumpster. He accidentally locks himself in to the room where the dumpster is located. The only way out is a second door which has an alarm that will sound if it is opened. He considers opening it but decides not to. Someone eventually lets Jimmy out. Scratched on the wall where Jimmy sat while he waited for someone to let him out is "SG was here".

The final moments of the end of the season 1 closer are replayed. Jimmy turns down the offer from Davis & Main. Kim doesn't understand she tries talking some sense into him but he won't listen.

Napoleon Dynamite (2004)

Napoleon Dynamite and his brother Kip live with their grandmother until she gets injured. Uncle Rico comes to stay with them while their grandmother is in the hospital.

Uncle Rico and Kip work as salesmen while Napoleon attends high school. He makes a new friend, goes to a dance, learns to dance, and helps Pedro in his quest to become class president. Uncle Rico and Kip have their own misadventures.

Mr. Inbetween 3.02

Champ

Adam, Ray's cellmate, pisses off Harris, a much bigger guy, by calling him Champ. It has a different meaning inside. Ray encourages Adam to attack Harris before Harris attacks him. Adam can't bring himself to do that. Harris gets Adam in the end.

Ray does a job for Freddy while he's still in jail. Dave leans on the guy who pressed charged against Ray after Ray hit him. Dave convinces him to drop the charges.

Ray gets out of prison. Brittany is angry at him. Word is out that he was in jail. She's angry because he lied to her. He tries explaining it to her. It doesn't change much.

She-Ra and the Princesses of Power 4.06

Princess Scorpia

She-Ra, Glimmer, and Bow attack a bunch of Horde outposts in the northern reaches. The outposts are suspiciously undermanned. Flutterina is with them. They still don't know the truth about her. She does what she can to get She-Ra and Glimmer angry at one another.

Hordak is having trouble assembling the super weapon that Entrapta was building when she was banished to Beast Island. He orders Catra to find Entrapta's notes. Catra turns the task over to Scorpia, who still holds out hope that they are still friends. 

Scorpia looks for the notes with help from Emily, Entrapta's robotic friend. Scorpia tells Emily a little about her past and how the Fright Zone used to be her family's kingdom. Emily reveals that the notes she is looking for are inside her. They can't be removed without destroying Emily.

The Talons of Weng-Chiang - Part 2

The Doctor and Leela flee from the gaint rat and climb out of the sewer. They return to the police station where they discover that Professor Litefoot left a message for them. They go round to see him at the morgue. They talk about the body of the cabbie and then head back to his place.

Li-Hsen Chang returns to the theater. He goes through a secret passage where he is confronted by a masked man whom Chang calls master. The masked man is from the future and talks of a missing time cabinet. He wants to go look for it.

UFO Robo Grendizer 2.08

Teardrop of the Wolf

or The Wolf's Tears Are Falling Stars

or Le mercenaire de l'oppression (The Mercenary of Oppression)

Commander Goss (of the Planet Wolf) is sent by the Supreme Leader of Vega to destroy Duke Fleed and Grendizer. The Great Vega has promised to free Planet Wolf if Goss is successful. He gets to work and almost destroys Grendizer in their first encounter. His saucer is much faster than Grendizer. He has the opportunity to destroy Grendizer and Duke Fleed but he holds off because he wants it to happen when the moon is full.

Lost in Translation (2003)

starring Bill Murray, Scarlett Johansson

Bob Harris (Murray), an actor, is in Tokyo shooting a commercial for whiskey. Charlotte (Johansson) is staying at the same hotel, with her husband who is a photographer. Bob's and Charlotte's paths cross a few times. Neither one seems to be happy or able to sleep.

Her husband goes out of town for work and leaves her behind. Charlotte and Bob wind up spending time together.

Thoughts

Bill Murray was definitely the bigger star at the time the movie was made or at least better known, but it isn't his movie alone. 

NewsRadio 4.11

Chock

Three of Dave's old friends from Wisconsin visit him in New York. They are there to revive their acapella quartet, Chock Full of Notes, and go professional. Dave has no interest but the others seem determined to go through with the plan.

Lisa yells at Matthew and makes him cry. Beth thinks Lisa was justified in yelling at him but Mr. James does not.

Thoughts

David Cross, Bob Odenkirk, and Brian Posehn play the other three members of Chock Full of Notes: Dave, Bob, and Brian.

The Invaders 1.08

Doomsday Minus One

David Vincent is summoned by Charlie Spence, a reporter, to Utah. Spence disappears before Vincent gets a chance to meet with him. He meets instead with Major Graves of the US Army who tells him what he knows. Spence claimed that a big crater near the US Army Utah Proving Ground was made by the crash of a UFO. Spence also told Major Graves that he saw another UFO near the crater. 

The Phil Silvers Show 1.25

The Court Martial

Colonel Hall is determined to prove that Fort Baxter is a model of efficiency to General Rogers. The plan blows up after it is discovered that one of the men in Bilko's platoon is actually a monkey. The general attempts to court martial the monkey but that doesn't go exactly as planned.

She-Ra and the Princesses of Power 4.05

Protocol

A storm of glowing spores causes Light Hope to malfunction while Adora is visiting. Light Hope has to reboot and doesn't recognize Adora while she is in the midst of that process. Adora learns a little bit about Light Hope's relationship with Mara.

Lonnie, Rogelio, and Kyle get stranded in the Whispering Woods when their vehicle malfunctions due to the storm. They argue. Catra contacts them and wants to know what's taking so long.

The storm lets up eventually. Light Hope is restored. Adora heads back to Bright Moon. The three Horde soldiers get their vehicle fixed and move on. Light Hope deletes the memory of Mara.
