Sam still has a thing for Cindy. She still has a thing for Todd, the captain of the McKinley basketball team. Sam applies to be the new school mascot when the current one get injured. It turns out to be a lot more work than he expected.
Lindsey wants to break up with Nick after she finds out about his former girlfriend. She tells her mother about it and her plans to end her relationship with Nick. Lindsey changes her mind after she learns more about what happened between Nick and his former girlfriend.
Sam loses interest in being the mascot just before the big game between McKinley and Lincoln. Neal takes his place. Neal loves it but the head cheerleader doesn't appreciate Neal's antics.
Lindsey's Mom inadvertently spills the beans to Nick. She runs into him just before the big basketball game and tries to act sympathetic. He gets the message and winds up telling Lindsey that he thinks they should break up.
Thoughts
Is that it for Sam's crush on Cindy? Is that it for Lindsey and Nick? I don't remember. It has been several years since I last watched this show.
There were some good laughs in this episode but it didn't mean as much to me or seem as good as some of the other ones.
