Rick diverts the family vacation so he can visit his latest baby momma. She turns out to be a planet. Rick impregnated her. She starts to spew humanoid beings. Beth works with Rick to raise them properly.
Jerry takes Summer and Morty camping. Summer gets angry and insults their father until he walks off. He winds up with the rejected, underachieving children of the planet. He becomes their leader.
Summer and Morty go looking for Jerry. They find a crashed spaceship. Morty thinks the controls are like a video game. He gets the broken ship working again, with some help from Summer who is getting high as she learns about the alien technology. They finally get the ship started up and try flying it.
The planet's real baby poppa shows up, a god like being. He tries to smite Rick but Rick has a trick or two up his sleeve. Rick gets into a fist fight with the real baby poppa. He is losing the fight and possibly near death when Summer and Morty crash the spaceship into the back of the giant baby poppa's skull, killing him.
Jerry leads an army of the planet's rejected people against the chosen ones who are led by Beth. That fight comes to an abrupt end when Rick drops the dead baby poppa on the planet. Rick, Morty, and the rest of the family quickly flee and return to Earth.
Thoughts
All of the planets people look the same and male. Are they asexual? Is this some sort of a commentary?
I like this episode. I like how the members of the family get split up and each have their own adventures. I love the reunion of Rick with Summer and Morty. I wasn't as taken by Jerry's role in this one. I can kind of see what they were going for but I think that part felt a bit like something that's been done before on this show. This episode isn't perfect but it was a lot of fun.
