Rick and Morty discover that they are on another planet with face hugging creatures attached to them. They don't remember how they got there. They try to fake their way out of these but they get found out. They kill a lot of aliens escaping. They make their way back to Earth only to learn, from Beth, that Summer was with them.
They return to the planet of face huggers to find Summer. It turns out that she is the Empress. She doesn't have a face hugger attached to her. She tells them how they got there in the first place. She exercises a little artistic license in her version of the events.
Summer helps them to escape this time.
Thoughts
This was a fairly straight forward episode. The only thing that threw me was the flashback. I wasn't sure when it first started if it was a flashback. Eventually it became clear that it had to be.
I enjoyed this episode. There were some good laughs. It made more sense than some of the others. It was kind of gross in places but this show has had grosser episodes.
