Kagome finds Kikyo in the forest. Kikyo binds her to a tree and then lures Inuyasha to her. Inuyasha cannot see Kagome due to Kikyo's magic. Kikyo is somewhere between life and death. She does her best to seduce Inuyasha. She wants to take him to hell with her.
Kagome finally speaks up and somehow gets through to Inuyasha. He cuts Kagome free from the tree. He doesn't realize, until she tells him, that she heard everything that transpired between him and Kikyo. She questions the nature of her relationship with Inuyasha.
Kikyo goes to see Kaede, her sister. Kaede explains that if Inuyasha is different it is because of the effect that Kagome has had on him. This news does not soothe Kikyo's spirit. She also tells Kikyo about Naraku.
Kagome tells Inuyasha that she needs some time to think. She jumps through the well and returns to modern era. She quickly returns to the feudal era when she realizes that she forgot some things. She gets back in time to overhear a conversation between Inuyasha, Shippo, and Miroku. The other two are asking Inuyasha whom he prefers, Kagome or Kikyo. He says he likes them both. Kagome is not satisfied with this answer and announces her presence by letting him know.
Thoughts
There is little to no action in this episode. I'm okay with that. I think that sometimes they go overboard with the action to the point of their being nothing but fighting. I hope that the events in this episode lead somewhere in the future.
This is a decent episode, not a bad one. It feels like they are building to something. Hopefully that something will arrive in the not too distant future.
