Episode 5
Eun-joo comes home and finds Hyun-woo there alone. There is no sign of Yeon-woo. She tries calling her daughter but no one picks up. Dong-ha comes home and gets into an argument with Eun-joo over what happened to Yeon-woo.
Yeon-woo comes home but doesn't want to enter the house until her parents are asleep. She asks Hyun-woo by text to let her know when that happens. She takes shelter in the garage when it starts to rain. She finds the money and takes off with a bunch of it.
Kang-jun makes plans to get the money back and bump off Kwang-chul. He calls off his plans just as he and his men are closing in on the garage after he finds out the the police have the neighborhood under surveillance. He doesn't call off the hit man he hired to deal with Kwang-chul.
Eun-joo finds out from Hyun-woo that Yeon-woo is in the garage. She goes out there and sees money everywhere but her daughter isn't there. Dong-ha looks in the garage, sees the mess of money, cleans it up and then goes looking for their daughter.
Kwang-chul catches up to Dong-ha, has one of his men rough him up and then helps him try to figure out where Yeon-woo has gone. Joo-hyun and Yun-seok, see what goes down but don't step in.
Yeon-woo and her boyfriend get a room at a shady hotel and quickly get in over their heads. Some low level thugs beat up her boyfriend and talk about taking the money and killing them. Kwang-chul shows up and with some help from his right hand man he deals with them. He tells Dong-ha to take the money and his daughter and get out of there.
Dong-ha takes Yeon-woo home and then puts the money back in the garage. Kwang-chul goes by himself to meet with someone in the early morning hours. He gets there around dawn and gets blindsided by a guy who wants to know why he didn't bring the money.
Thoughts
The cops are in this episode but as with the last episode they spend most of their time watching and commenting.
What's going to happen to Kwang-chul. I don't think that he will get killed before the final episode, if at all. Will he be able to extricate himself from this situation in the warehouse all by himself or will he need help? What is Eun-joo hiding? What is her connection to the police or the criminal underworld?
I'm starting to get a little leery because the show feels like it is more about the situation than it is the characters. I'm still on board. I can't see myself jumping ship at this point but I am starting to wonder about where it is all going to end.
