Elizabeth kills Joseph, her husband, on Christmas Eve. She is getting ready to dispose of his body by throwing it down a well when she gets interrupted my a man dressed like Santa Claus. He is a killer who has escaped from a mental institution and has already killed four women while on the loose. He tries to make her victim number five but she fights back and knocks him out.
She is about to mutilate her husband's body, to make it look like Killer Santa Claus did it, when she discovers that Killer Santa Claus is still alive and trying to get in the house through the window to her daughter's room.
This episode is adapted from a story of the same name in Vault of Horror 4 (Mar 1950). That story was written and drawn by Johnny Craig.
Larry Drake played the part of Killer Santa Claus. He has also done voice work for at least three DCAU shows: Superman, Batman Beyond, and Justice League. The actors who played Elizabeth (Mary Ellen Trainor) and Joseph (Marshall Bell) both looked familiar and have been in numerous things that I have seen.
I watched this episode on YouTube. I think it may be the first time I have watched an episode of this show.
This was wickedly fun. It wasn't hard to see where things were going as the episode progressed. This might not be everyone's cup of tea but I really enjoyed it.
