Alfred Hitchcock Presents 1.02

Premonition

Kim Stanger returns home after being away for four years only to find that everyone seems to be concealing something from him. He goes home to see his father but can't seem to locate him. Perry, Kim's brother, tells him that their father died of a heart attack while playing tennis but Kim finds evidence that seems to contradict what Perry told him. Kim keeps digging until he finally finds the truth.

Thoughts

What's the lesson here? Be careful what you wish for?

Kim Stanger was played by John Forsythe. I've seen him in a few other things. The two things that I associate him both with are TV shows, Charlie's Angels and Dynasty. I used to watch Charlie's Angels way back when but haven't seen it recently. I never watched Dynasty but I probably saw plenty of commercials for it when it was on TV.

Cloris Leachman is also in this episode. She played the part of Susan, Perry's wife.

This was a decent episode. I thought John Forsythe was quite good in it. I thought it was a little odd that both Kim and Perry kept referring to their father by his given name instead of calling him father or dad. I like the way it ends. It really left me wondering how the truth would impact Kim's life going forward. This is another way of saying that they didn't wrap everything up neatly at the end.
