Colony in Space - Part Three
The Doctor outwits Morgan and then gets control of the robot. He returns to the colony.
IMC formally announces their presence to the colonists. Dent claims that IMC has the only proper claim to the minerals on the planet. Ashe, the leader of the colonists objects. IMC sends out a call for an adjudicator to settle the matter.
Jo and Winton (one of the colonists) sneak into the IMC spaceship. They are taken prisoner by IMC security. Winton escapes but he is hunted down by IMC guards. He escapes from them with some help from Caldwell. He returns to the colony and tells them about what happened.
Winton returns with the Doctor and other colonists after dark and they take over the IMC spaceship as they look for Jo.
The primitives help Jo escape from the IMC goons before the Doctor can try to save her. The primitives kill the guard and take her to their subterranean lair.
Thoughts
The Master still has yet to appear in this story. At this point I think that he will be the adjudicator who is due to arrive very soon.
I'm not sure what the primitives plans are for Jo. Are they protecting her or are their intents more harmful? The Doctor is in this episode but once again he seems like one of many players and not the primary focus of the story. I like that.
This story is still doing it for me. It isn't great but I've seen much worse. I'm eager to see how things progress in the next episode. I will be very surprised if the Master doesn't show up before the end of the fourth episode.
