The Call - Part Two

Batman shares with Barda, Aquagirl, Green Lantern, and Warhawk what he learned about Superman. The team confronts Superman and wind up fighting with him. They don't get the answer they are looking for and Superman flees when the going gets tough.

The team follows Superman to the Fortress of Solitude. They get there via Barda's mother box which creates a boom tube. They find Superman and another fight breaks out. This time they subdue him using the Kryptonite that Batman brought with him. When Superman's shirt is removed they see a very large starfish attached to his chest.

The starfish is from another planet and the last of its kind. It was captured by The Preserver. Superman later brought it and other creatures to the Fortress of Solitude. He didn't know what else to do with them so he kept them there in his zoo.

Asbestos Fest

Moira has trouble getting herself worked up to perform at Asbestos Fest. Roland tries to convince Johnny to hire him to do odd jobs about the motel. David and Patrick discover, thanks to Alexis, that the teens who have been hanging around their store have been shoplifting.

Thoughts

This was okay. I might have chuckled a few times but I don't recall laughing harder than that.

Genesis of the Daleks - Part Two

Sarah Jane watches Davros, the Dalek, and the others leave. She isn't noticed by them but a group of Mutos finds her. One of them wants to kill her, another Muto objects. They are interrupted by a Thal patrol. Sarah and the Muto who protected her are taken prisoner.

The Doctor and Harry are examined first by the military. They remove the time ring that the Time Lord gave to the Doctor. Harry and the Doctor are then taken to Ronson, one of the scientists for interrogation.

Davros interrupts the interrogation to demonstrate the latest Mark III travel machine (Dalek) as they are being called at this time. It is armed. It almost kills the Doctor and Harry but Ronson intervenes. Davros is very angry.

Lower Decks

Four ensigns serving aboard the Enterprise await the outcome of evaluations. They all hope to get promoted. They are mentored by or serve under different members of the crew. 

Sam Lavelle (Human) serves on the bridge under Commander Riker. He tries to ingratiate himself on Riker, who isn't terribly impressed with him.

Sito Jaxa (Bajoran) serves under and is mentored by Lieutenant Worf. He pushes her to do her best including at least one test which she objects to because it is clearly unfair.

Veritas

The bridge crew (Freeman, Ransom, Shaxs, T'ana, Billups) are put on trial on the planet K'Tuevon Prime and the lower decks crew (Mariner, Boimler, Tendi, Rutherford) are called to testify. One by one the lower deck crew members tell their version of what they remember. There were lots of aliens including Romulans, Vulcans, and Q. There was a secret mission into the neutral zone. There was a Roluman bird of prey. There was a tank of eels. In the end it turns out to be much ado about nothing.

Gin Ichimaru's Shadow

The episode opens in the Soul Society. Byakuya is once again shown informing Rukia of her fate. He runs into a couple of the other squad captains of the Soul Society after he leaves the jail in which she is kept.

Ichigo continues his final lesson, beneath Urahara's shop. Urahara chases Ichigo and chops to pieces what is left of the blade and handguard of his Zanpakutō. All that he has left is the hilt.

Ichigo stops, in the midst of the chase, when he hears his sword's spirit calling out to him. It tells him to call its name, Zangetsu. He does and its blade is restored. He turns and easily knocks Uraha's hat off his head, thus ending the lesson.

Moonlighting 3.01

The Son Also Rises

David Addison, Sr. comes to town. He's there because he is getting married. David Addison, Jr. avoids his father at first but Maddie works it so that Jr. has to talk to Sr. David learns that his father is getting remarried. He's delighted until he meets Stephanie, his father's bride to be.

David Jr. had a one-night-stand with Stephanie, years ago. He tells Maddie about how he met Stephanie (the first time around) and how he can't imagine Stephanie being his father's wife. He goes on a drinking binge but he recovers in time for the wedding. Maddie goes as his plus one.

David is his father's best man. David pulls Stephanie aside in the middle of the ceremony. He has to talk to her about what happened between them four years ago. She misunderstands and tells him about how she used to regularly get drunk and pick up men in a bar back in Philly. She also tells him about how she met his father.
