Spellbound

Raven gets obsessed with a book she's been reading. She turns down offers to socialize with the other Teen Titans. Malchior, the hero from the book, is trapped within its pages. He talks to her and teaches her magic spells. She helps to free Malchior from the book only to discover that it wasn't the hero but the villain, the dragon that the Malchior fought in the pages of the book, with whom she was communicating.

The Space Science Center uses an observation satellite to locate the underwater base that the Vegans are building. Grendizer and Marine Spazer tackle the underwater base. Drill Spazer and Double Spazer deal with the tunnel that the Vegans have built to allow them to surreptitiously deliver supplies to the underwater base.

Professor Umon goes to a scientific conference in Switzerland. He is escorted by Kouji, Maria, and Hikaru in their Spazers. The Vegans get there before them. One of them assumes the identity of Dr. Subyler, Professor Umon's one-time teacher.

Peter Moffatt talks about his memories of working on Doctor Who. He worked with Tom Baker (State of Decay), Peter Davison (The Visitation, Mawdryn Undead, The Five Doctors), and Colin Baker (The Twin Dilemma, The Two Doctors). He also got a chance to work with Jon Pertwee (The Five Doctors) and Patrick Troughton (The Five Doctors, The Two Doctors).

There are lots of clips from the six stories he directed but Moffatt is the only person interviewed about those stories for this feature.

Bilko's unit is set to go on maneuvers in the desert for a couple weeks. Colonel Hall figures out that Bilko is planning to take his platoon to Las Vegas while they are in the desert. Bilko and his platoon are left behind at Fort Baxter so he comes up with another scheme.

Bilko and his unit convert Fort Baxter into a camp for boys. Everything is going great until he learns that Colonel Hall and the rest of the men who are in the desert are returning a few days early.

Citizen Kane was Welles’ first movie. He was starting from ground zero in terms of learning the process. He had the creative energy needed. He leaned heavily on others to teach him or handle the technical aspects of film making. 

RKO chief George Schaefer got increasingly nervous and wanted to know what was going on in the production of Citizen Kane. He had a spy on the set. Welles did what he could to keep accurate information from flowing to Schaefer.

Judith Trahern (Bette Davis) finds her life turned upside down when she learns that she has a brain tumor. Ann King (Geraldine Fitzgerald), Judith's best friend, and Frederick Steele (George Brent), Judith's doctor, try to keep her in the dark about the seriousness of the tumor but by chance she finds out the truth. She lashes out against them at first but eventually mellows.

Judith begins a romance with Frederick which she ends when she finds out about the seriousness of her condition. She re-ignites her relationship with Frederick once she gets over the emotional pain she felt. They get married and move to Vermont and enjoy what time they have left together. The tables get turned towards the end of the movie once Judith realizes that the end is very near and decides not to share that information with Frederick.

Johnny Ingram (Harry Belafonte), a musician with a gambling problem who is deeply in debt to the mob, needs a break. Earle Slater (Robert Ryan), an ex-con with a chip on his shoulder, also needs a break. Both are contacted by Dave Burke (Ed Begley), an ex-policeman with a criminal record. Burke has a plan which will net them at least $50K a piece. Burke insists that it will be an easy one-time job. Both Ingram and Slater, brush Burke off, at first.

Ingram has an ex-wife and a daughter to support. Slater is living with Lorry (Shelley Winters), but he can't stomach the fact that she is working and he is not. He cheats on her by forcing himself on Helen (Gloria Grahame), one of their neighbors, who is in a loveless marriage.

Both men change their minds and agree to take part in the heist, despite their mutual animosity for one another. Slater's racially charged way of speaking adds tension in the working relationship. Things go from bad to worse. Bad luck compounds the situation on the night of the heist.
