Ploy
Max quits. He makes a big show of it. Beth is convinced that it is all a ploy to get her to "go out" with him. Dave accepts Max's resignation and doesn't make any effort to stop him from leaving, until Mr. James finds out about it and orders him to beg Max to stay.
Lisa changes her name to Lisa Miller Johnson. Joe tries to talk her out of changing her name. Matthew tries to talk her into changing her name to Svetlana Monsoon. Matthew never liked her old name.
There are no people with speaking roles in this episode other that the regular cast.
Johnny Johnson, Lisa's jailbird husband, is not in this episode but he does get mentioned, more than once.
This episode was much better than I feared it might be. It's weird how some of these episodes leave me cold and others crack me up.
