Betrothed
The Titans travel to Tamaran, Starfire's home world, for her wedding. It is a surprise to everyone that Starfire is about to get married. Starfire's teammates are also surprised to learn, when they arrive on Tamaran that she is a princess and second in line for the throne of Tamaran.
Blackfire, Starfire's sister, is now Empress of Tamaran. She has picked Starfire's groom, Glgrdsklechhh, the slimy green ruler of Drenthax. Starfire is appalled but feels as though she must go through with the wedding. The Titans snoop around the palace while Starfire is preparing for the ceremony. They find out what Blackfire is really up to but then they get captured by Blackfire's palace guard.
The wedding ceremony begins but Starfire backs out at the last minute. She challenges her sister to a duel with the stakes being the crown of Tamaran. Starfire's teammates are forbidden from interfering in the duel.
Thoughts
This episode begins on Earth but the story quickly moves to outer space and then Tamaran.
Blackfire first appeared in Sisters (1.02). This is her second and final appearance in this incarnation of the Teen Titans, according to my research.
This was decent. It kind of, sort of, reminded me of some bits from the comic books but it is not a direct lift from the comic books. I was hoping early in the episode that the Omega Men (or something that resembled them) would be in this one but they are not.
