Private Duane Doberman is in love with Lillian Middleton but her mother kicks him out when she finds out that he is a soldier. Bilko finds out that Lillian's father is the head of an important company, in other words that he is rich, and does what he can to convince Lillian's parents that Doberman is actually royalty.
This is fun. I like all the over the top antics but it ends very abruptly without really settling the matter of Doberman's status with Lillian's mother.
Nicholas Saunders plays the part of Captain Barker in this episode. It is his third appearance in the second season and sixth one overall. He appeared in 24 more episodes spread across the third and fourth seasons of the show.
Bruce Kirby has an uncredited appearance in this episode as the Ice Cream Parlor Assistant. This is the second of two episodes of the show in which he appeared.
Ben Lackland played the part of Lillian's father. This is his third and final appearance on the show and according to IMDb it is his last credited appearance according to IMDb. He died a couple years after this episode first aired.
Philippa Bevans played the part of Lillian's mother. This is her third of eight appearances on the show. She played different characters in every one of those episodes.
This is the final episode of Season 2. There are a few extras on this disc and then I will be on to Season 3.
