Thoughts
I thought that it was a little odd that there was one character named Divine G and another named Divine Eye but nothing was ever made about the similarity in their names. They were Checkov’s names except they weren’t.
This story feels loosely scripted but the performances are very good. It is hard to describe. The way it was shot and put together made it feel almost like a documentary. Most of the actors in the movie are men who were incarcerated and went through the program featured in the movie.
I enjoyed this movie. It had moments that felt a bit forced but it kept my interest. I wanted to see how it turned out, although the ending also felt a little tacked on. I thought at the beginning that the movie was going to end where it began but it did not.
