Stuart
Otto gains access to Stuart, a man suffering from Alzheimer's. Otto helps Stuart to regain his memories, to dispel the fog that has clouded his thoughts. Otto reveals that Stuart robbed him of some of his memories years ago. Stuart at first denies it but later admits to it.
Otto wants to know why Stuart did what he did to him. Stuart tells him about his life, about his relationship with a son he had, a son he lost.
Otto was played by Dan Stevens. I know him from I'm Your Man (2021). I don't think I've seen him in anything else.
Stuart was played by Morgan Freeman. I don't think I've seen many things that Morgan Freeman has been in recently but I've seen him in lots of things over the course of my lifetime.
This episode felt like it was reaching for something but didn't quite get there. The ending didn't feel earned in my heart and mind. There was a little too much packed into Otto and Stuart's conversation for me to accept it as is.
Looking back on the series as a whole, my favorite episodes were Tom, Peg, Jenny, and Leah but probably not in that order. The other three episodes felt lacking to me. I don't regret watching this show but I'm also not crazy about it.
