Both Sides Now
Howard Silk crosses over to the other side. Howard Prime doesn't give him much to go on. Raash meets him and then locks him up in an apartment.
Howard Prime takes Howard Silk's place. He tries going in to the office but when he sees the sort of work he's expected to do he takes a walk. Peter Quayle catches up to him on the street. He warns him about being too conspicuous.
Howard Silk gets a visit from Anna, Howard Prime's adult daughter. She wants his help. Emily Prime is in the hospital. It looks like she overdosed, again. Anna doesn't really want her father's help. She pushes back when he tries to act helpful.
Howard Prime goes to see Heinrich, an old friend from his side who has crossed over and made a life in Howard Silk's world. They talk and share a drink.
Ian is also at the hospital. He resents that Howard is there. Howard backs off and spends some time with Anna in the waiting room. She doesn't understand why he is trying to be helpful.
Claire, Baldwin's handler, takes Baldwin to a safe spot. Baldwin is nervous about what comes next. Claire calms her nerves by getting into bed with her. Claire sneaks out in the middle of the night. She takes Baldwin's gun and sends an assassin in to kill her. Baldwin proves to be too much for the assassin.
Howard Silk takes Emily Prime home. She has figured out who he is. Anna comes over. The three of them have dinner together. Anna doesn't know that Howard is her father's counterpart. She gets upset at the way Emily and Howard are acting towards one another and leaves in the middle of the meal. She's tired of having to parent them.
Howard stays the night at Emily's apartment which is his apartment in his universe. He sleeps on the couch. He tries to sneak out the next morning but she catches him before he can get away. She suggests that they should work together.
Thoughts
I really like the part where Raash is driving Howard through the city. He is taking it all in and it feels like it is fresh and new even though as viewers we have seen it before.
Both Howards have trouble pretending to be the other. They are the same and yet they are different. Howard SiIk finally discovers in this episode that Emily Prime is still alive. I wonder why Howard Prime lied to him. Was Prime having an affair with Emily Silk? Is he the one who hit her with a car?
It becomes clear in this episode that Lambert, the ambassador, is working with Claire. I doubt that either of them is the mastermind but they are both working for or with whomever is the mole on the 3rd floor.
How will things evolve between Howard Silk and Emily Prime? There seem to be hints that they are going to get romantically entangled.
This was a very good episode. I really liked it. I'm still not sure where it is all headed. Where will the season end? I'm still not regretting giving this show a try.
