Forced Departure
Gene is badly injured from the fight in the previous episode. There is poison in his body. The pirates offer to give them the antifote but only if they give up the ship. They refuse. Melfina heals Gene while Jim does what he can to keep the pirates at bay. Gene takes over once the posion has been purged from his system. He destroys most of the pirates. Suzuka deals with the leader.
Gene and Melfina get the Outlaw Star ready to blast off. The port authorities try to order them to stay put but they aren't willing to comply. Gene blasts off. Suzuka decides to go with them. They encounter 3 grappler pirate ships once they are in outer space. Gene deals with them and then they set a course for Heifong.
This episode opens with a pep talk for Gene Starwind. I don't know how else to describe it.
Aisha Clan-Clan is not in this episode. I don't recall when she returns but I am sure she will be back.
This episode is all action. There are little character moments sprinkled here and there but it is mostly about healing Gene, getting away from Sentinel Three, and fighting pirates.
There is one more episode on this disc but I think this is a good place to pause. I will be back for more in a couple months.
